Chapter 11 - Girlfriend

Harper exited her dorm with speed . She was already late and from the dorm to the school was a 20 minutes walk. She couldn't believe Tyla had left making her oversleep. She was going to commit murder — really.

Of course, Tyla often complained about how stressed Harper was and that the day Harper would over sleep, she would make it her responsibility to watch her sleep in peace!

Who even says that?

Why did she even take Tyla as her best friend in the first place,at all?

Chuckling, Harper fixed her bag properly, increasing her movement. The sense of urgency taking control.

She knew why though. Because Tyla was actually the only wild yet exciting thing she had in her life. The only person who made her smile at her down moment.

A warm smile spread across her lips at the thought of it.

She increased her pace. Yes ,it was true that she was the Dean's daughter but had to walk to campus. It wasn't her fault. She wanted to use freedom to get to know the world.

Alvin Reed already hired a bodyguard, she sent him away. Then a driver, then he bought her a car yet she refused to learn driving.

She wanted to be a normal person for once in her life. To be free like others were.

Harper suddenly heard loud noises emanating from downstairs. Girls practically screaming out of excitement.

Curious, Harper quickly descended the staircase.

Her jaw dropped the moment she got downstairs.

The moment she saw who they were cheering and screaming for.

Him.

Logan Hayes?!

He sat on the motorcycle, his helmet intact and he cradled another helmet his arms.

Harper was transfixed.

What on earth was he doing in the girl's dorm ?

The devilish smirk he wore made Harper scoff. She didn't know if she had to move towards him or what.

She hadn't done this before. She hadn't been in an actual relationship!

Why didn't he even tell her he was actually going to come to her dorm to perhaps pick up,so that she'd prepare.

"Girlfriend!" His resonant voice called out,his green grassland eyes on her.

She felt her cheeks burn. "Guess who came to pick you up , girlfriend!"

Electricity rushed up and down her spine as she just stood there.

The girls present turn to see he was referring to Harper and their eyes widened. Turns out the rumours were actually true. The dean's perfect daughter was really dating the campus heartthrob.

It did not even seem possible. Two of them her different, too different.

Their whole relationship was definitely going to be the talk of the whole semester.

"Too shy to move?" He asked ,his words cutting through their thoughts.

Harper's face turned more red when whispers exploded.

She felt a mixture of emotions she couldn't pronounce.

Harper felt too shy to move yet too angry at him. She wanted to slap that Mr Perfect spirit away from him.

Exhaling, Harper mustered little courage and tightened her grip on her bag.

A tight lump form in her throat, each step felt so heavy.

He watched her every move and that, for an unknown reason made her flush.

Logan's smirk deepened, this whole visiting thing wasn't to tease her. It was to make people believe them. But seeing the way she felt uncomfortable made him like this already.

It made the whole thing sound like he actually did this just to tease her.

Which wasn't entirely true...

And?

He loved the sound of that. He really did.

Harper stopped right in front of him, her face crumpled into a tight frown but the hue pink on her chick never faded due to the way his green eyes practically bored into her skin.

Folding her arms, she begun," what are you doing her, Logan?" ,her voice a whisper.

No one had to hear her yelling at her "perfect boyfriend."

"What do you mean by what am I doing here, Princess?" Logan drawled.

Harper rolled her eyes. "Why did you not tell me you be picking me up from the girls' dorm?"Harper inquired, seemingly emphasizing on each word.

"Then what's the point of surprise?"Logan answered, "Girlfriend." He ended.

The way he mentioned that word made her blush and made her pissed at the same time.

"Aww look at that pretty shade of pink on your chick."Logan teased,a light giggle followed.

Harper felt her blood boil.

Logan Hayes was so annoying to handle.

"You know what, I'm not going anywhere with you Logan."

She spoke out of anger.

Fixing her bag , Harper decided to walk to campus like she always does.

"It's it like you want us to end this? Because I already do."

Logan Hayes said.

"I'm not going anywhere", she begun,"with you"

"Hey!"he called out. "Let's go."he commanded.

Something in his sudden cold tone made her stop.

"Do you want this to end,?"he whispered.

"No"

She replied softly.

"Then make them believe Harper. Hop on."

He spoke holding out an helmet.

Harper snatched it from him disinclined and wore it, her amber eyes not leaving his green.

He helped her claim up and all the while she had a frown on.

"Don't hold me too tight , girlfriend."

He smiled.

Not a soft or warm smile.

Yet a sly one.

Harper's heart skipped a beat.
