The first Sentinel lunged. A massive, a blade descended, carving through the air with crushing force. Celeste barely managed to move herself aside as the weapon shattered the ground where she was. Shards of marble exploded outward, forcing Dain and Arianne dodge.
"These things are fast!" Dain said
Celeste didn't respond. Aether flowed through the constructs. Unlike ordinary soldiers, the Sentinels weren't just made of stone—they were animated by divine energy, cores pulsing with raw power.
If they could disrupt that energy, they could stop them.
"Dain, aim for the chest!" she shouted. "Thats where their cores are!"
Dain nodded, moving towards it. He darted between the Sentinels, using his agility to avoid their devastating attacks. He threw his dagger infused with Aether. The blade struck into one of the glowing cores.
For a brief moment, the Sentinel hesitated. Its movements slowed down, cracks forming.
That wasn't enough.
The construct started to swing wildly. Arianne barely managed to evade the attack, her protective Aether barrier flickered.
Celeste narrowed her eyes.
We need more force.
She took a deep breath. The Aether inside her responded instantly, surging forward. She raised her hands, shaping the energy something precise.
Aether glowed around her fingers turning into a spear with a flick of her wrist, she hurled it forward.
The energy spear struck the Sentinel's core.
A crack split the air. Glowing spread across its body before it finally shattered,
One down.
But the others ones were coming and they were coming fast!
