Dain caught Celeste before she collapsed. "What the hell happened?"
She blinked
"The gods weren't always gods."
"What do you mean?"
Arianne said
Celeste turned back to the tablet. "There was something before them."
A silence settled over them.
The Pantheon had always claimed they were eternal, the first and only divine rulers of existence. But if Celeste's vision was true, then they had taken that power from something or someone else.
Dain exhaled. "What do you plan on doing celeste?"
"We find out what really happened."
