Jack's POV
I couldn't concentrate. This was the only file I'd been reading for the past two hours that I got into the office and yet I was still at the third page. I couldn't read past the first paragraph not because I suffered a sudden vision impairment and couldn't see the lines but because I couldn't comprehend what I was reading and had to keep reading.
Fucking annoyance. When did my brain turn to butter? When did I find it hard to understand what I read?
I knew when. I knew why. I knew what the problem was and it boiled down to just one major problem.

I gritted my teeth as I thought of her, as I thought of the humiliation I had almost suffered at the show if not that Katherine and I were enough to put Hollywood to shame with our superb acting skills.
I had thought I had gotten rid of Melissa. It was a pain to know I hadn't.
Questions ran through my mind, questions I would love to have urgent answers to.
