As soon as Kade left, Felix locked the door and put the chain on, to stop any unwanted guests from barging in (not that it could actually stop the Alpha or his guards if they truly wanted to get in, as they could just break the door, but still), and threw himself on the couch, exhausted mentally and emotionally.
Dealing with Kade was always stressful. They had known each other for a while now, but Felix still had no idea how much he could actually trust the Alpha. He was worried whenever his heart skipped a beat or his cheeks flushed, because warming up to him was dangerous. It could lead to Felix lowering his guard, and missing the warning signs.
After all, as nice as Kade had been to him - if you ignore the fact that he blatantly stepped over the boundaries Felix had tried to set, and assume that he hadn't been involved with that rogue Beta's, Brian's, incident - that didn't change the fact that he was capable of killing other werewolves in a bloody way.
