Chapter 314 - Chapter 315: The War for the Throne Begins

The Celestial Diamond Hotel was bathed in golden light, its towering chandeliers casting reflections on the polished marble floors. Billionaires, politicians, and underground bosses filled the grand ballroom, their conversations hushed as all eyes turned toward Ochieng—the man who had just declared war on the most powerful mafia leaders in the world.

His uncle, Don Sebastian, smirked. "You think you can just walk in here and claim the throne, boy?"

Ochieng leaned back, sipping his Macallan 1926 whisky—a drink that cost more than most people's lives. "I don't think, uncle. I know."

The tension in the room thickened as the Eight Major Mafia Families observed the exchange.

One of them, Madame Isabella, the ruthless leader of the European Syndicate, tapped her wine glass with her long red nails. "This is interesting. The lost heir finally decides to show his fangs."

Another, Master Longwei of the Asian Triads, chuckled. "But do you have what it takes, boy?"

Ochieng smirked, setting down his glass. "Try me."

Before anyone could react, a group of masked assassins crashed through the ballroom windows, their blades flashing under the crystal lights.

The war had officially begun.

--

Ochieng moved before anyone else could.

In a blur of motion, he sidestepped the first assassin, grabbing his wrist and snapping it with a sickening crack before twisting the man's knife into his own throat.

Blood sprayed across the floor.

A second attacker lunged, but Ochieng was faster. He ducked, grabbed a champagne bottle, and smashed it against the assassin's temple.

Across the ballroom, Don Sebastian watched in shock.

His nephew wasn't just some businessman.

He was a trained killer.

The masked assassins quickly realized they had underestimated their target, but it was too late. Felix, Linet, and the rest of Ochieng's inner circle joined the battle, their movements precise and deadly.

Within minutes, the once-grand ballroom was littered with bodies.

Ochieng stepped over the last assassin's corpse, his black suit unstained, his expression calm.

He looked at his uncle and smirked. "As I was saying… the throne is mine."

Don Sebastian clenched his jaw. "You'll regret this."

Ochieng tilted his head. "You first."

---

After the bloodshed, Ochieng returned to his penthouse at the Emerald Grand Hotel.

Felix poured himself a drink. "We made our move, but the real war starts now. Sebastian won't let this slide."

Ochieng nodded, his gaze cold. "I know."

Linet sat on the couch, crossing her legs. "So what's the next step, boss?"

Ochieng stared out the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the city lights flicker.

"We take everything from him. His businesses, his connections, his allies."

Felix smirked. "And if he fights back?"

Ochieng turned, his dark eyes gleaming with danger.

"Then we burn him to the ground."

---

The next day, Ochieng was back at Skyline University, blending into his carefully crafted lie.

He walked through campus in a plain hoodie and jeans, his face unreadable as students whispered around him.

"He's so average. No wonder Alicia left him."

"Did you see that broke Toyota he drives? Pathetic."

He smirked. If only they knew.

A familiar voice called out.

"Still pretending to be a nobody, Mr. Silent Trillionaire?"

He turned to find Linet, standing there in a stunning white dress, her eyes full of amusement.

Ochieng raised an eyebrow. "And what brings you here?"

She smiled. "I came to remind you… the world is watching."

Ochieng sighed. "Let them watch. When I rise, they won't know what hit them."

Linet chuckled. "Just don't take too long, boss. The throne won't wait forever."

Ochieng smirked. "Neither will I."

---

That evening, Ochieng attended a private gala hosted by the powerful Lian Group, one of the most influential corporations in the country. He arrived in a sleek black Rolls-Royce, its golden number plate reading "KING001"—a silent declaration of his dominance.

Inside, he was met with curious gazes from socialites and business tycoons.

"Who is he?"

"I heard he's a nobody from Skyline University."

"Then why is he sitting at the VIP table with the heads of the Lian Group?"

Ochieng ignored the whispers, focusing on the real reason he was there.

The CEO of Lian Group, Zhang Wei, finally approached him. "You've been making a lot of noise lately, Mr. Ochieng."

Ochieng smirked. "Noise? No, Mr. Zhang. I'm just getting started."

Zhang's eyes narrowed. "You want to take down Sebastian, don't you?"

Ochieng met his gaze, unwavering. "I don't want to. I will."

The older man studied him for a moment before finally smirking. "Then let's talk business."

As the gala continued, the real game of power had just begun.

---

Meanwhile, in a hidden chamber beneath the Blackwood Manor, an old man lit a candle, his wrinkled fingers tracing over a bloodstained photo of a young couple.

"Ochieng… you don't even know the truth about your parents, do you?"

The candlelight flickered, revealing a hidden grave beneath the floorboards.

Everything Ochieng thought he knew about his past was a lie.

And soon, he was going to find out.
