Chapter 313 - Chapter 314: The Devil’s Throne

The cold night wind howled through the open balcony of the Emerald Grand Hotel's 88th floor. Ochieng stood still, his mind replaying the words of The Silent Raven. His uncle—the man he had trusted, the man who had raised him—was the architect of his father's demise.

The rage inside him was calm, but dangerously quiet. The kind of silence before a storm.

The old man, The Silent Raven, observed him with a knowing look. "You have two choices, Ochieng."

Ochieng tilted his head, his onyx-black eyes unreadable. "And what are they?"

"Walk away. Live your life as a businessman, untouched by the underworld. Or..." The Silent Raven took a step forward, his gray eyes glowing under the moonlight. "Take back your father's throne and become the leader of the Eight Major Provinces—but it will come at a price."

Ochieng chuckled, but it wasn't out of amusement. "I was never given a choice to begin with."

The Silent Raven smirked. "Then prepare yourself. The war for the Devil's Throne has begun."

As Ochieng walked back to his penthouse suite, his mind was already calculating.

His underground empire—built in secret, running corporations worth trillions—wasn't enough. He needed more.

Felix was waiting inside, arms crossed. "How bad is it?"

Ochieng poured himself a drink and smirked. "Worse than we thought. My uncle is the reason behind my father's death."

Felix's jaw clenched. "That bastard..."

"Gather the council. I want every asset accounted for. We're taking back everything that belongs to me."

Felix nodded and left without another word.

Ochieng leaned back, taking a sip of his drink. His mansion, his hotels, his businesses—all of it had been built to hide his true identity.

But now?

It was time to reveal the real devil behind the throne.

The next morning, at Skyline University, Ochieng arrived in his usual low-profile mode. He wore a simple white shirt, black jeans, and sneakers, looking nothing like a man who secretly controlled a global empire.

His car? A black Toyota Crown with a simple number plate. Not one of his Maybachs, Rolls-Royces, or custom Aston Martins. Just enough to make him blend in.

As he walked across campus, whispers followed.

"Look at him… so ordinary."

"Did you hear? Alicia dumped him last week. Poor guy."

"He's just a broke nobody."

Ochieng smirked but said nothing. If only they knew.

A voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Still playing the role of a peasant, Mr. Silent Trillionaire?"

He turned and found Linet standing there. Dressed in a tight black dress and designer heels, she exuded confidence, seduction, and danger.

Ochieng raised an eyebrow. "And what brings you here?"

Linet smiled. "I came to remind you… the world is waiting for your return."

"Not yet," Ochieng said. "There are still people I need to deal with."

Linet sighed. "Still playing with fake love, campus heartbreaks, and the sufferings of ordinary students?"

Ochieng's gaze darkened. "They will all pay… in due time."

That evening, Ochieng trained in a hidden dojo—a private underground facility owned by his organization.

He stood shirtless, his sculpted muscles glistening with sweat. Across from him, Master Zhang, a retired martial arts legend, observed him carefully.

"You've improved," the old man said. "But your heart is still burdened."

Ochieng threw a powerful kick, shattering a stone pillar.

"The burden will only be lifted… when they all pay in blood."

Master Zhang sighed. "Revenge can be sweet, but it also destroys."

Ochieng smirked. "Then let it destroy me."

He turned, his eyes cold.

"It's time for the world to meet the real Ochieng."

---

Three days later, the Grand Imperial Gala was held at the Celestial Diamond Hotel. It was an event attended by business moguls, world leaders, and the most feared mafia bosses.

Ochieng arrived in a custom black Bugatti La Voiture Noire, his number plate reading "DVL 001."

The moment he stepped out, silence filled the air.

Women gasped. Men tensed.

"The Silent Trillionaire…" someone whispered.

He walked inside, exuding dominance and power.

At the main table sat eight of the world's most powerful mafia leaders. His uncle was among them.

Ochieng smirked, sitting across from him. "Long time no see… uncle."

His uncle narrowed his eyes. "You shouldn't be here, boy."

Ochieng leaned forward, his voice dangerously low.

"I came to take back my throne."

The war had begun.
