As soon as I was at full strength, I thanked the old man for taking care of me. "I appreciate everything you've done for me and the baby." I felt Zoro's arms around my waist, a hand on my stomach, and his lips on my neck.
The old man laughed. "You have a good man, young Assassin. Just make sure he keeps that temper in check."
I nod. "Don't worry, Grampa, I will." I tried to hide the fact that I was getting turned on.
Nami noticed what was going on. "Good God, Zoro, get a room. The woman just recovered from being poisoned, and now you get laid."
Zoro smirked. "What's wrong, Nami? Jealous that I can get laid whenever I want?"
I giggled and whispered in his ear. "Don't worry, naughty boy, once we leave, I'm all yours."
Once we left the house, we made it back up to the house on the hill. Ussop was explaining that he had the feeling that something was very wrong with the butler. "I don't understand it, guys. Kia used to be so cheery and outgoing now it's almost like he keeps her locked up."
Luffy nodded. "Do you think it has something with what the old man said? Remember, when he told us about what happened to her parents? It's true then she's in the greatest danger and we need to get her out."
Ussop nodded. "I remember but it won't be easy. Kia is very stubborn and will refuse to come with us. She's always been very generous with the townspeople. She would rather stay where she's most comfortable."
Luffy smiled. "I get that. But staying inside all the time reduces her chance of getting to know her people.
Ussop looked at him. "You think so?"
"Of course."
Once we arrived at the gate that blocked the main entrance to the house the evil feeling of being watched finally hit me making me stumble back a bit. "I don't think the butler is what he claims. I haven't felt anything like this before."
Nami looked at me. "What do you mean?"
"The old man told us that the butler's name is Clawidor, right? I believe that it's just an alias. He won't reveal his true name, and if he does, it's only to a few that he can trust."
The same man who had told Ussop, Luffy, and Zoro to leave was still standing guard. When he saw me had gone weak in the knees. "Hello, beautiful. I didn't know that you would hang out with a bunch of brutes."
Zoro put himself between the guard and me, unsheathing a sword. "Touch her and you die."
I smile. "It's ok, Zoro. I can play into this. It's the only way to get into the mansion. Besides It's what assissans are known for. Gathering intell." I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "After all, I carry the next generation of swordsmen. I think I can handle this."
Zoro nodded. "Fine. I still don't like this." He smirked. "Just don't keep me waiting." God, that woman makes me wanna fuck her.
I smiled as the guard let me in. Once I got into the house, I made my way to Kia's room to gather what I could about her butler. Before I could get very far, I was stopped by the butler in question. I paused. "So, you must be Clawidor. The butler, who is suspected of murdering his mistress's parents."
Clawidor smiled. "I don't know what you're talking about. My job is to serve Lady Kia, as is the job of everyone in this house. I would like to know how it is that you know so much."
"It's my job to know people's business. I have eyes and ears everywhere." I smirked. "Just like it is you're to serve your mistress."
Clawior smirked. "What business do you have with Lady Kia? Might I ask?"
I smiled. "That question I can not answer. It is my own."
"You wouldn't have anything to do with those ruffins outside, would there?"
Dammit. If this guy knew that Zoro and the others were outside, things could go badly. Play it cool, Kat. I thought. "Of course not. I'm here by myself. Now, if you excuse me. I have places to be." I turned to leave, but the butler grabbed my shirt.
Outside, my hawk, a Redtail named William, landed on Zoro's shoulder with a wing pointed towards his swords, signaling danger before flying and landing again on the top of the gate, another wing pointing towards the house.
Usopp looked up at the hawk. "What's a Red-tailed hawk doing here? They don't fly this far."
Luffy smiled. "That's William. Kat's hawk. He must sense danger inside the house. That explains why he landed on Zoro's shoulder. He is Kat's eyes in the sky. Searching for enemies that she can't see as well as being a messenger."
In the house, the butler refused to let me go. "I asked you a question. What is your business do you have with Lady Kia? If you have anything to do with Ussop the town liar, then I will ask you to leave."
"I told you, my business is my own. Also, I have nothing to do with him. Now let me go or there will be consequences."
With lightning speed, the butler held a knife to my throat. "If you are not with Ussop, then it must be the Bounty Hunter Zoro?" He paused. "Ah, yes, he waits just outside the entrance gate."
I matched Clawidor in speed, I took the knife from him, and returned the gesture. "What makes you think I would give up Zoro's position that easily? Then you are wrong. You touch me in any way, and I will kill you.
A moment later, a young lady came downstairs. She had blonde hair and green eyes. She wore a light blue dress and pink slippers on her feet. "Hey, what are you doing? Why do you have a knife near my butler's throat? He's done nothing wrong."
I didn't look at her. "You're Lady Kia. If you value your life, you will leave this mansion."
The young girl just stared at me. "I don't understand what's going on. Please tell me what you want. If it's my money or my house, I'll give it to you."
Clawidor looked at his terrified mistress. "It's alright, Lady Kia. Please return to your room."
Kia shook her head. "No. Not until I get an answer."
"Tell me, Lady Kia, do you know the truth about your butler? How is he the one who murdered your parents and made it look as if they disappeared? He's a former pirate captain and looking to steal your money and your house."
Kia looked at me. "It's not true. He's been loyal to my family for 3 years. He can't be a pirate captain."
Outside, Nami and the boys were getting restless. "What's taking her so long? I hope she's getting the information that she needs." She paused. You don't think something happened, do you?"
Zoro shook his head. "Believe me, Pretty Kitty can handle herself. She's an Assassin after all."
Nami stared at him. "How can you be so calm? You're pregnant fiancè is in danger and might be injured for all we know."
Zoro was about to say something when the door of the main house opened. What went on was Pretty Kitty in there? Why is she covered in blood? Oh no. Please don't tell me she lost that baby.
