Once the boys reboarded the ship, I ran to Zoro. "What took you so long? You could have died." I was buried in his chest, crying. I knew it was due to pregnancy, but as a child, I was always prone to tears whenever Zoro did something stupid or got hurt.
Zoro played with my hair. "I'm fine, Pretty Kitty." He lifted my face to look into his eyes and brushed my hair out of my face. "I'm not leaving you or our son."
I giggled. "How do you know I'm carrying a boy?"
"Luffy asked me the same question. Call it a father's intuition."
Sanji, who was intensely taken with Nami, started following her around like a lovesick schoolboy. "Nami, my love, let me cook you something, anything you like."
Nami chuckles, playing into it. "Well, how about you surprise me?"
Sanji nodded. "Of course." He headed to the kitchen to cook her something.
Luffy smiled. "A chef is found now we find a musician who sings songs and entertains us."
Ussop looked at him, thinking for a moment. "I don't know Luffy. Wouldn't a doctor be the better option? We will need someone who knows something about childbirth. What if Kat goes into labor while we're at sea, far from land?"
Luffy paused for a moment. "Oh yeah, that's right. Good point. But I don't know anybody who knows how to help with something like that?"
I turned around with Zoro's arms around my waist. "I think I might know someone who specializes in midwifery."
Nami looked at me. "What do you mean?"
I smile. "Well, as the daughter of a doctor, you get to know people. Of course, that was before I was forced into the Order."
Nami nodded. "That is true."
Luffy smiled. "Write to her and find out this she would be interested in joining our crew."
I nodded and headed to the office that Kia had built for me. I felt Zoro give my ass a spank before I headed off which made me let out a small squeal.
Ussop looked at him. "Do you have to do that every time?"
Zoro looked at him. "I don't know what you're talking about. Pretty Kitty has that perfect ass that just asks for it."
Nami let out a groan of frustration. "Come on, Zoro. Can't you stop acting like a perv for just one second?"
"I'm not a pervert. That cook that Luffy brought on board is."
Sanji appeared in the window of the kitchen. "Nami, your food is ready. I'll bring it down for you."
Nami couldn't help but blush at Sanji's attention. It was clear on her face that she was trying to fight her feelings for Sanji. Although was the newest member of the group there was something about him that was different from other men. He could cook, and he was charming, attentive, and a bit possessive but other than that small flaw it was nice just to be waited on. Nami knocked on my door. "Kat I need your help."
I opened the door to the office. "What's up, sista?"
Nami came into the room, closing the door behind her. "I'm in a bit of a pickle. I know we don't know much about Sanji other than the head chef took him in and his love for food. But I think I might have feelings for him. You know what that's like better than anybody."
I set my quill down. "Go on."
"I think I have a crush on him. What do I do? Sanji is just so annoying, he follows me around like a lovesick puppy. It's so annoying, but as the ship's navigator, I have to keep this boat floating until we make our next stop. You have to help me. Did you feel like this with Zoro?"
I laughed, sitting back in my chair. "I did. It's funny when I was a girl, I accidentally ran into Zoro on my way home from a mission with my father. I didn't know what to think or how to feel. So I know how it feels to fall for someone not knowing if they feel the same way."
Nami nodded. "You got lucky with Zoro because he did feel the same way."
"I wasn't the only girl who wanted Zoro to be hers. One of my best friends, Elizabeth, also had a thing for Zoro, but when she saw just how much time Zoro and I were spending together, she knew that she wasn't gonna interrupt what we had."
The letter that I was writing was open on my desk. Dear Sara, as you know, Zoro and I are expecting our first child. Zoro is convinced that we're having a boy, though I think he'd be happy with a girl regardless. I am reaching out to you to see if you would be interested in joining our crew, The Straw Hats. It would be great to see an old friend again. I hope you're doing good. You're busy with all the children that you've been delivering children and instructing new mothers on the best way to feed them. Either by breastfeeding or bottle feeding. We look forward to hearing from you. Love, Katherine. I rolled it up and attached it to William's talents before he flew off.
Nami smiled. "So does that mean you'll help me out?"
I nodded. "Of course."
Back in the deck Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji getting to know one other. Sanji looked at Zoro. "So, tell me where did you meet an angel like Kat? She's such a beauty." It was clear that he also pinning after me regardless of me being with Zoro.
Zoro chuckled. "Pretty Kitty and I have been together since we were kids. I'd do anything that women asked me."
Sanji nodded. "So you treat her like a goddess, I would imagine."
Zoro smiled. "You could say that. Now that she's having my kid, I have more to fight for."
Usopp sighed. "Do you think that Kat's friend will be interested in joining us? It would be nice to have a doctor who knows what he or she is doing."
Luffy smiled. "Of course, she will. But I still think a musician is a good idea too. Can you imagine having music on this ship?"
Zoro looked at him. "The thing that I can see right now is seeing you knocked out on the deck for being so annoying."
"HEY!! THAT'S MEAN!!"
Zoro chuckled. "You can't say you don't feel the same way about me."
Nami and I came out of the office and stood on the balcony watching the boys argue amongst each other. Both of us started laughing seeing four grown men acting like morans. It was refreshing to see how everything had changed in just a few days of us being on the sea. It was almost as if we were becoming a family.
Nami placed a sisterly hand on my shoulder, still smiling. "Do you think the boys will ever set aside their differences?"
I returned her smile. "Who knows? Boys will be boys. You know, it's almost like we've become a family."
Nami nodded. "I know the feeling. Once the little one arrives, be it boy or girl, they will have an aunt who can teach them how to navigate the sea."
The immature fighting between the boy stopped when they saw Nami and me laughing at their expense. Zoro couldn't help but smile seeing the laughter and the smile on my face. He elbowed Luffy in the side motioning the sisterly bond forming between Nami and me.
Luffy also smiled. "Looks like Kat finally let her guard down around Nami."
Zoro nodded. "Yeah, she has."
