Planet Nexus
"So, I was transmigrated, huh?" Xiao thought, sitting in a chair in his villa, staring up at the stars in the night sky. Despite knowing he had been transmigrated, he didn't panic or feel anxious. He knew that anxiety wouldn't help him—it would only hinder his ability to think clearly.
"So, this is a cultivation world. Humans entered the interstellar age long ago, exploring and colonizing space. It's been three million years since the beginning of the Star Age." Xiao focused, delving deeper into his new memories, as more information about this unfamiliar and foreign world flowed in.
This bizarre event had been set in motion by a mystical and supernatural energy known as Aether, which swept through the entire universe. Humanity first encountered this godlike and mysterious energy on their home planet. A person was mutated by this energy, unlocking potential beyond human limits and comprehension.
And so, the first awakened beings appeared in this world. As a result of this newfound energy, technology advanced at an unprecedented rate. What was once thought to be science fiction or pure imagination quickly became reality.
"My awakening ceremony is tomorrow," Xiao muttered to himself, thinking about the upcoming event. The so-called "Awakening Ceremony" was a ritual meant to receive the blessings of the Heaven's Will.
The Heaven's Will, or Heavenly Dao, was a genderless, emotionless entity—the very consciousness of the universe. It was omnipotent and omnipresent, its power and presence existing everywhere. Its sole purpose was to maintain balance and the continuity of the universal modules.
Once a lifeform received its blessing, its ultimate potential would awaken, granting the ability to cultivate and evolve—transforming into a higher form of life.
"But I also have this." Xiao thought, turning his attention to the mysterious artifact that had brought him into this world—the Void Record. Based on the information gleaned from the artifact, it had many abilities and uses, each one unlockable as his cultivation reached higher stages.
For now, however, it was in a sealed state, and he could only use one ability: the "Status Profile."
Calmly, Xiao called out in his mind, "Profile." Instantly, an illusory screen appeared before him.
---
Name: Xiao
Aliases: Transmrigator, Prince of Cardinal Royal family (Prince of human Civilization).
Cultivation: None, Tier: None
Elementary Laws: None
Universal Laws: None
Artifacts: Void Record
---
Seeing the profile, Xiao couldn't help but think, "Elementary and universal laws... Only lifeforms at Tier 5 or above can wield the power of the laws."
"I don't know what kind of talent I'll get tomorrow," Xiao said aloud, feeling a mix of anticipation and uncertainty. Talent was a unique ability that depended entirely on the individual. Sometimes it manifested as an active ability, other times as passive, and on rare occasions, a combination of both. It could awaken randomly—sometimes during the Awakening Ceremony, other times later in life, or even during a life-or-death battle. In some rare cases, a person never awakened a talent at all. These individuals were considered "trash"—though such cases were extremely rare.
What kind of talent one awakened, and how useful or powerful it would be, was entirely random and unpredictable.
I hope my talent is something useful... something strong, Xiao thought, his heart swelling with anticipation.
