In front of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect's main hall
Ning Rongrong held a black spirit-guided flintlock gun in her hand. If Li Luochen had seen her, he would have thought she looked incredibly cool, like a super sniper.
"Grandpa Sword and Grandpa Bone, who wants to try out this spirit-guided flintlock first?"
Ning Rongrong's eyes twinkled mischievously. She loved watching her two grandpas compete with each other.
"Your Grandpa Sword's old bones aren't as sturdy as your Grandpa Bone's. Why don't you let him go first?"
Sword Douluo teased with a smirk.
"You coward! Fine, I'll do it," Bone Douluo retorted disdainfully.
"Huh, a little praise and you're already getting cocky?" Sword Douluo blocked Bone Douluo's path with one hand, then instantly appeared in front of Ning Rongrong. "I'll accompany our little princess. Go ahead and use your spirit-guidance weapon boldly, my dear. Grandpa will defend."
"Alright, Grandpa Sword, be careful!"
Ning Rongrong aimed the gun at Sword Douluo and pulled the trigger with a loud *bang*. A burst of flames erupted from the barrel, and a metal bullet shot toward Sword Douluo.
"Hmm? The power is quite strong!" Sensing the formidable force of the bullet, Sword Douluo summoned his martial soul, the Seven Kill Sword.
With a single swing, he sliced through the bullet, dispersing it into fragments. One of the shards grazed Chen Xin's cheek, leaving a fresh red mark.
Chen Xin hadn't expected that not only was the bullet powerful, but it also had a secondary attack after being split apart?
Actually, Chen Xin was mistaken. It was simply that when he sliced the bullet, its kinetic energy hadn't dissipated yet, causing the fragments to scatter and continue moving.
Seeing that the flintlock bullet had been deflected, Ning Rongrong could only reload the weapon. The soul-guided flintlock was inconvenient—it only held one bullet. Though its power was great, the reloading time was long. Ning Rongrong decided to switch weapons.
While the flintlock could also fire spirit power as ammunition, the power wasn't significant, and it consumed a lot of spirit energy. The flintlock was best suited for volley fire by rows of dozens of soldiers, with others reloading while they exchanged shots.
Ning Rongrong didn't just have one weapon. Originally, Li Luochen had only given her a flintlock, but Ning Rongrong knew how to coax him. This little devil was relentless in her cutesy antics—even rolling on the ground if necessary.
Unable to resist her charm, Li Luochen gave her a soul-guided semi-automatic rifle and a pair of fully automatic soul-guided pistols. These were manufactured during the establishment of Shrek City by blacksmiths from Gengxin City and a few spirit mentors under Li Luochen's guidance.
Li Luochen felt that he was on the verge of sparking an industrial revolution. He had already handed over the spirit-guided weapons to Qian Renxue, confident that the Spirit Hall, under his influence, would eventually unify the continent.
The Spirit Hall could leverage these spirit-guided weapons and high-level spirit masters to crush the two empires.
However, the members of the Spirit Hall weren't fond of these soul-guided devices. To be precise, most high-level spirit masters didn't think highly of them. They believed that while these devices greatly enhanced armies, they were useless against their defenses.
Li Luochen could only smile without saying anything. If only he had been a science student instead of a humanities and art student—he could have created soul-guided mecha suits and battle armors. Then these people would have no choice but to use them.
At this moment, Ning Rongrong put away the flintlock and took out the spirit-guided semi-automatic rifle, aiming at Sword Douluo. The rifle held eight bullets, and reloading was convenient.
*Bang bang bang!* Eight consecutive shots!
After targeting Sword Douluo, Ning Rongrong emptied the magazine in one go. Sword Douluo felt that the power of these bullets was even greater than before.
"Spirit Convergence Slash!"
Sword Douluo blocked seven bullets and dodged the eighth with his agile movements.
"*Hiss*, the force is strong. If a Soul Emperor isn't prepared, they'd definitely be killed. How can this weapon be so powerful? Hmm? Another round is coming!"
In the blink of an eye, Ning Rongrong had already reloaded. She really enjoyed using this soul-guided semi-automatic rifle—it had a long range, great power, and fast reloading.
But Ning Rongrong's favorite weapon was still the pair of finely crafted soul-guided fully automatic pistols. They were the most comfortable to use, with a magazine capacity of fifteen rounds, the ability to switch between semi-automatic and fully automatic modes, and—most importantly—they looked incredibly cool!
These spirit-guided fully automatic pistols weren't invented by Li Luochen—he didn't understand the principles behind them—but he had described the concept. An elderly spirit mentor successfully created them. After completing the project, the old man laughed heartily and passed away peacefully.
Creating such spirit-guided weapons made his long life worthwhile.
Li Luochen found soul masters to be incredibly useful. Their productivity far exceeded that of ordinary people, and their use of martial souls could even surpass the efficiency of machines. Moreover, soul masters had incredible stamina.
Li Luochen's armory now produced hundreds of spirit-guided rifles, though there were only dozens of fully automatic pistols. The number of flintlocks, however, had reached tens of thousands.
This was by Li Luochen's design. He believed that flintlocks were sufficient—they were stronger than ordinary crossbows and easier to manufacture compared to other spirit-guided firearms.
Currently, Li Luochen's armory was researching cannons—yes, cannons. However, since Li Luocheng didn't understand the principles, he could only describe what he envisioned. In the end, they created something similar to the Hongyi Cannon from the Ming Dynasty. Even so, its power was formidable. A barrage of dozens of cannons was equivalent to a Title Douluo's large-scale spirit skill.
Li Luochen still preferred cannons, but his knowledge was limited. He could only sketch rough designs and let the blacksmiths and spirit mentors create them on their own.
Li Luochen considered visiting the Sun Moon Continent. Although it would be thousands of years before the two continents collided, the technology there should be highly advanced by then, with well-developed spirit-guided artillery systems.

Back at the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect
Ning Rongrong had already put away the spirit-guided semi-automatic rifle. Finally, she brought out her favorite pair of spirit-guided fully automatic pistols—and they were "custom-made."
She had begged Li Luocheng to modify these pistols for her, adding engravings of the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda patterns onto them.
As for why Li Luochen agreed to help her modify them, he charged her ten thousand gold spirit coins. Ning Rongrong thought it was a small price to pay, and both sides felt they had gotten a good deal.
At this moment, Ning Rongrong held the dual pistols and began firing at Sword Douluo. First, she fired a steady stream of controlled shots. After reloading, she switched to fully automatic fire. Whether or not she hit her target wasn't the issue—it was all about how satisfying it felt!
Where had Sword Douluo ever seen such an attack method? He was familiar with crossbows, but these firearms were like discovering a new world. He was completely flustered.
After finishing her shots, Ning Rongrong blew on the barrels of the guns—a move she learned from Li Luochen. It looked cool.
"So, Daddy, how's this surprise? Is it big enough?" Ning Rongrong said with a smile, feeling proud of herself. She believed she had achieved a great feat and would become the reviver of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect.
"Uh... good, very good, couldn't be better. Rongrong, tell me about this Director Li of yours. What's he like now? I tried to recruit him back when he was a Soul Elder, but unfortunately, he refused."
Ning Fengzhi wanted to learn more about Li Luochen's current status. Back when Li Luochen had beaten up Dugu Yan in Tian Dou City, he had already caught Ning Fengzhi's attention.
Ning Fengzhi had personally attempted to recruit the young man, but Li Luochen had refused. Ning Fengzhi had considered eliminating him, but since there was no conflict of interest, he didn't act.
Years had passed, and Li Luochen's reputation had grown immensely. Ning Fengzhi was extremely curious about him.
"Oh, the Director Li I know is like this..."
