Chapter 17 - Crimson Revelation

The cloaked figure moved with unnatural speed, its claws raking across Chase's arm. He cried out in pain, stumbling backward. He raised his wand, but the figure was too fast, knocking it from his grasp.Chase found himself pinned against the wall, the figure's glowing red eyes burning into his soul.

He could feel the creature's hot breath on his face, a foul stench of decay and blood."You shouldn't have come here," the figure hissed, its voice a raspy whisper. "You know too much."

Chase struggled against the figure's grip, but it was no use. The creature was too strong, too powerful. He realized this wasn't just a student or a teacher; this was something else entirely.

"What do you want?" Chase gasped, his voice trembling. The figure chuckled, a chilling sound that echoed through the chamber. "What I want is irrelevant. What matters is what you want."

The figure leaned closer, its eyes boring into Chase's. "You seek knowledge, power. You want to understand the secrets of the Azure Academy."Chase remained silent, his mind racing. How did this creature know what he wanted?"I can give you what you desire," the figure continued.

"I can show you the true nature of magic, the power that lies hidden within the shadows.""What's the catch?" Chase asked, his voice regaining some of its strength."The catch," the figure said, its lips curling into a sinister smile,

"is that you must embrace the darkness. You must become one of us."The figure reached out and gently stroked Chase's cheek with a clawed hand.

"Join me, Chase. Together, we can unlock the true potential of the Azure Academy. Together, we can rule."Chase stared into the figure's glowing eyes, a surge of defiance rising within him. He wouldn't succumb to this creature's twisted desires. He wouldn't betray his principles, even for the promise of power.

"No," Chase said, his voice firm despite his fear. "I will never become one of you."The figure's smile vanished, replaced by a look of cold fury. "Fool," it snarled. "You have no idea what you're throwing away."Before Chase could react, the figure lunged, its fangs bared. Chase twisted his head, trying to avoid the attack, but it was too late.

The figure's teeth sank into his neck, a searing pain ripping through his body.Chase screamed, a primal cry of agony and terror. He felt a burning sensation spreading through his veins, a foreign energy invading his very being. He struggled against the figure's grip, but his strength was fading.

The figure drank deeply, its eyes closed in ecstasy. Chase felt his life force draining away, replaced by a dark, insatiable hunger. Finally, the figure released him, its lips stained with blood.

Chase collapsed to the floor, his body wracked with convulsions. He could feel himself changing, transforming into something monstrous, something he never wanted to be.The figure stood over him, its eyes gleaming with triumph. "Welcome to the shadows, Chase,"

it said, its voice now filled with a chilling satisfaction. "Your new life begins now."Chase's vision blurred, and darkness consumed him. He had resisted, but it was all for naught. He was now a creature of the night, a vampire, bound to the darkness forever
