Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Won't Bother You Anymore 2

So disgusting.

She harbored such hatred, not for Hunter Warren's abandonment, nor for Zenia Yates' betrayal.

But for her own blindness.

She was clearly blind even with her eyes wide open.

She tore the scheduled abortion procedure appointment slip from her bag to shreds and threw them into the sky.

Forget the surgery.

When she returned to the Townsend family mansion, the house was already in chaos.

Several servants who had been working for the Townsend family for years were blocking the doorway, demanding their wages.

Her appearance shifted everyone's attention away.

"Miss has come back."

The servants turned around upon hearing the voice, realizing that it was indeed Faye Townsend who had returned.

They all swarmed around her.

"Miss, you're finally back.

Director Townsend said the family is bankrupt and that we're to be dismissed.

We've worked for the Townsend family for so many years and understand that the family is currently in a difficult situation.

We're not asking for severance pay.

But we should at least get our wages settled, shouldn't we?

Director Townsend keeps hiding in the room, refusing to come out.

What kind of situation is this?

We haven't been paid in half a year."

Faye Townsend glanced at the villa's entrance door, which was tightly closed.

She spoke calmly: "Everyone, rest assured. Although the Townsend family has fallen,

we will not shirk the responsibility for your wages.

I will make sure you are paid."

"Miss, when will you pay us?

We've seen the news.

You are divorced, aren't you?

We don't mean to hurt you with this.

We just want our wages."

Faye Townsend clenched her fists. Indeed, when the tree falls, the monkeys scatter; when the wall collapses, everyone pushes it down.

She pursed her lips: "Uncle Rivers, please tally up how much the Townsend family owes everyone in wages.

Let me know, and I will transfer the money right away."

Uncle Rivers looked at Faye Townsend with sympathy and nodded his head.

He gathered everyone aside to tally the numbers.

After just over ten minutes, Uncle Rivers came over and said, "Miss, the tally is done.

There are five servants here.

Everyone has not been paid for half a year.

The total is 140,000."

"Uncle Rivers, you got it wrong, it's six people."

Uncle Rivers' lips curled lightly: "I've worked for the Townsend family for ten years.

I have been graced by the Townsend family.

I don't want the wages, nor do I plan to leave."

Faye Townsend looked at Uncle Rivers with gratitude, and she bowed slightly: "Uncle Rivers, thank you."

She took out her bank card and handed it to Uncle Rivers: "The PIN is my birthday.

Uncle Rivers, please help me with the transfer."

"Of course, miss."

After several people left with Uncle Rivers, Faye Townsend approached the door and knocked, "Brother, open the door."

The door was opened from inside.

Richard Townsend sighed with relief when he saw Faye Townsend: "What's wrong with you, you silly girl.

The news I saw today must be false, right? You didn't really get divorced, did you?"

"How could the financial news be a lie?" Faye Townsend forced a smile as she stepped inside.

"Faye Townsend, have you gone mad?

I thought these people knew that the Townsend family was bankrupt but still worked in the house as if nothing happened.

Why did they suddenly become restless today?

It's all because of you.

What were you thinking, how could you dare to divorce Hunter Warren?

Don't you know the current situation of the Townsend family?

Hurry up, call Hunter and admit your mistake.

You can't afford to get divorced now, don't you understand?"

Faye Townsend turned to look at Richard Townsend.

After the divorce, no one was in more pain than her.

No comfort, no care, only accusations and questions.

How could this be her own brother?

After a long while, she spoke faintly: "He was the one who asked for the divorce."

"Then you should have tried to hold on to him.

Don't you understand that only he can save the Townsend family now?"
