Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 You Can Call Me Mr. Zhan, or Second Master Warren

"Did dad teach you to do such a losing business?"

Faye's heart ached as if it was being ripped out of her body.

She bit her lip, tears streaming down.

Yes, in this loveless marriage, what exactly did she gain?

Disappointment, despair, heartbreak, and this... unborn child who is not blessed.

At the entrance, Uncle Rivers hesitated a bit and walked in.

"Miss, Mr. Sullivan is here. He wants to see you. He's right at the door now."

Faye raised her hand to wipe away the tears on her cheeks: "I'll be right out."

Richard reached out and tightly grabbed Faye's hand: "Oh right, there's also Henry Sullivan.

Faye, since that bastard Hunter Warren won't help us, ask Henry Sullivan.

He must have a way.

Uncle Sullivan and dad were comrades-in-arms, good buddies.

Uncle Sullivan is a general, he can certainly help us.

Maybe Uncle Sullivan sent Henry to check on us.

You must seize the opportunity."

Faye looked at Richard in disappointment and pulled her arm away from his grasp.

"I've really had enough of you. From now on, I'll think of a way for the Townsend Family's affairs.

If you don't want to end up as a beggar, just stay put in this room obediently."

After saying this, Faye turned around and went out coldly.

Reaching the courtyard, Faye adjusted her breathing with great effort.

Uncle Rivers stood by: "Miss, are you okay?"

"Uncle Rivers, I'm fine. It's not the most difficult time yet. I won't fall."

She turned her head, gave Uncle Rivers a bitter smile, and walked towards the gate.

By the black Mercedes, Henry Sullivan, in a well-fitted suit, stood quietly with his hands in his pockets, leaning against the car.

With his handsome and gentle appearance, he had a warm aura that could capture the hearts of many young women.

Seeing Faye, he moved away from the car and walked up to her.

"Faye, are you okay?"

Faye nodded with a smile: "Brother Henry, I'm fine, don't worry about me."

Looking at Faye right now, Henry Sullivan's brow furrowed deeply.

"After I saw the news about your divorce with Hunter Warren, I immediately took leave from the army to come see you.

I know Richard is in no position to handle your emotions right now.

So, you don't have to pretend to be strong in front of me."

Faye closed her eyes and took a heavy breath: "Brother Henry, take me to a quiet place and buy me a drink.

My mind is too clear right now, and because it's so clear, my heart hurts.

I want to get drunk, so I can have a good sleep."

Henry Sullivan raised his hand to rub her head, his eyes full of heartache: "Get in the car."

In a private room at the Noble Gate Winery, Henry Sullivan had someone open a bottle of '96 Lafite.

Faye waved her hand at the waiter: "No Lafite, bring me some strong liquor.

The kind that can get me drunk with just one glass."

Henry looked at Faye, who was doing her best to appear strong, and gently held her hand.

"Don't put too much pressure on yourself. You still have me."

Faye nodded, pursed her lips into a slight smile, but said nothing.

The waiter brought the drink, and Faye took a small sip, "It's strong, indeed."

But then something came to mind, and she quickly put down the glass. She had forgotten that she couldn't drink right now.

She awkwardly patted her head: "Brother Henry, wait here for me. I'll just go to the restroom and be right back."

She got up and ran to the restroom, reaching into her throat to forcefully spit out the sip of alcohol.
