It had been three days. Three days since I arrived in the vampire realm. Three days trapped in this suffocating chamber. Three days of hunger.
It wasn't as if I hadn't been given food. The vampires made sure to provide meals, but none of it satisfied me. The hunger gnawed at me from the inside, relentless and growing. It wasn't the kind of hunger that could be sated with simple sustenance. No, what I craved—what my body demanded—was something more.
Blood.
Ever since Zeke had made me taste it, I couldn't forget the sensation. The memory of it burned itself into my mind—the rich, intoxicating flavor, the way it surged through my body, making me feel alive in a way I had never felt before. The worst part? He refused to explain anything. He wouldn't tell me what was in that bottle, where it had come from, or why it had affected me so deeply. And he wouldn't let me leave.
