Zeke's POV:

I stood outside the dungeon, my breath shallow, fists clenching and unclenching at my sides. The reinforced door loomed before me—thick, immovable. I had tried to push through, but it wasn't just heavy. It was something more. Something built to keep things in. Or out.

I swallowed hard. Something was wrong.

The air had shifted—thick, electric—pulsing with something unnatural. It pressed against my skin and crawled up my spine like unseen fingers. My instincts screamed at me to turn back, to get out before—

No.

That was exactly why I needed to stay.

A flicker of movement in the shadows—real or imagined, I couldn't tell. My breath hitched as I stepped closer, straining to hear past the muffled silence of the dungeon's walls. The weight of the unknown settled deep in my gut, twisting, squeezing.

Then— a sound.

It was low. Faint. A whisper? Or just the building groaning under the pressure of whatever was inside?
