"Where are you, Tohka? Hurry to the location I marked for you."
Just as Tohka had finished off the green-skinned creatures below, Nick Fury's big dark face appeared before her eyes.
"What's wrong? Is it just these worthless things? With their intelligence, even the police could handle them."
Tohka wasn't exaggerating—anyone with a bit of intelligence and a weapon could take care of these creatures without much trouble.
"I'm not talking about these. They just got exposed to some leaked substance from that guy. The big lizard is now on top of the Oscorp Tower, and he brought along several lizard-men who were injected with the same serum. "
"My squad and your good friend Spider-Man are already heading over, but we're seriously short on manpower. That guy's planning to release that stuff all over the city."
"And Tony's already at the scene. Even if I didn't say anything, I'm sure he'd call you." Nick added quickly.
"Oscorp, huh? So easily turning its own headquarters into a battlefield."
Hearing this, Tohka was a bit surprised. Just how much trouble did that guy cause for even Tony to rush over?
It looks like, regardless of whether Norman tried to stop it, it probably wouldn't have worked anyway.
"I'm on my way, don't worry."
Hearing this, Tohka was startled. Judging by his tone, the situation really seemed to be spiraling out of control.
So, she immediately flew toward the location of Oscorp Tower in her memory. She had to admit—flying really was the fastest method.
If she were on the ground, it would've taken an hour or two. But in the air? Only about ten minutes.
"Oh my god... how many are there?"
As she approached Oscorp Tower, Tohka was shocked by what she saw—hundreds of lizard creatures packed closely together.
And the most important thing was—these lizards had clearly been injected with the serum, unlike the weak ones she had dealt with before.
There were also several groups of people fighting, including Tony in his flashy red-and-gold armor.
She saw Tony continuously launching missiles at the lizard-men lunging toward him.
Not far away, Tohka also saw Spider-Man in his red-and-blue suit, Hawkeye with his bow and arrows, the sexy red-clad Black Widow, and a four-person team she'd never seen before: a woman in a white bodysuit, a tall muscular man in sunglasses, a guy with a head wrap throwing punches, and someone flying around in a helmet, shouting flashy lines.
Even though there were a lot of them, they still seemed outmatched against so many lizard creatures.
"What the hell is going on? Where did Doctor Lizard get the money to pull off something this big?"
Tohka knew this much—pulling something like this off required money, and Doctor Lizard definitely didn't have that kind of funding.
And where did all these people come from? Did he capture them? If so, this could lead to internal strife.
"That's a local gang in New York. Somehow, that big lizard managed to take over the gang, and is using their funds and manpower to pull this off. Hurry up and stop that guy upstairs—leave this area to us."
Just as Tohka finished complaining, Tony's voice rang out. Clearly, he had overheard her complaints.
After all, both of their systems were controlled by J.A.R.V.I.S., so overhearing things was easy.
"Nani?"
Hearing Tony's words, Tohka froze for a moment. Then she looked up at the top of the Oscorp Tower and her expression darkened.
She saw a densely packed group of green brutes, all staring intently at the people below.
In the center stood an especially large figure—none other than Dr. Connors, now fully transformed into a lizard, fiddling with a strange device.
He seemed to be preparing to launch some kind of green liquid, and those Lizardmen were clearly the final line of defense. No wonder Tony hadn't gone up yet.
If that vial broke by accident and the liquid spilled, it would be a disaster.
"Leave it to me. I don't want to wake up tomorrow and find the whole city crawling with giant lizards."
"Wait, Tohka!", Just as she was about to charge in, Spider-Man's voice called out.
He flung off an enemy, swung over with his web, and landed in front of her. He then handed her several vials from his waist.
"This serum can neutralize the formula. Originally, I only made a small amount to cure Dr. Connors, but now it's clearly not enough. You just need to inject one of these into Connors and another into that vial, and that should do the trick
However, by the time he finished speaking, Spider-Man seemed a bit hesitant.
After all, the serum was only based on some limited data from two people—he couldn't guarantee its effectiveness.
Since it hadn't gone through clinical trials, who knew what side effects it might have? But at this point, they had no choice but to take the gamble.
"Got it. And you really are a genius."
Taking Spider-Man's serum, Tohka deactivated her Iron Man-style armor.
Then she equipped her own purple spiritual armor, as Tony's suit clearly wasn't enough for this battle.
At the same time, she couldn't help but admire Spider-Man—just like Tony, he defied science. She had never heard of anyone who could create a working serum in just half a day.
"Ahaha, it's nothing—just go already. Besides, this is Harry's family business. If things get out of control, I won't be able to explain myself to him or Uncle Norman."
Hearing Tohka's compliment, Spider-Man scratched his head shyly before turning and charging back into the crowd of monsters.
They couldn't be left unattended, after all.
And he knew his own limits.
When he saw Tohka bringing out her spirit gear, he realized she was going all-in.
At this point, he couldn't help much.
"Alright, I'm heading up. Be careful, all of you."
After giving that quick instruction, Tohka flew straight toward the top of Oscorp Tower.
Immediately, all the lizard-men stationed there locked their gazes on her.
"Stop her! I'm almost done! "
"Soon, not just New York—the entire world will be ours!"
"And you… you will become kings of the new species!"
Sensing Tohka's approach, the lizardified Dr. Connors immediately stopped his work.
He gave the order to his subordinates, clearly intending not to fight her himself.
