Chapter 207 - Chapter 206: Turning the Tables

"This is the Book of Vishanti," Doctor Strange stepped aside to make room. "I hope you can truly use it to save this world."

Peter nodded and flew forward.

As he got closer, the magical energy emanating from the Book of Vishanti grew even stronger.

If earlier it had merely felt like the air was filled with tiny magical particles, now it was as if he were submerged in an ocean of magic.

It was almost suffocating.

The book seemed to reject Peter, resisting his approach.

Fortunately, with the power of Captain Universe flowing through him, Peter possessed immense strength, and his mental prowess had been stretched to its limits.

Bracing himself, he forced a path through the sea of magic and reached the Book of Vishanti. Extending his hand, he placed it on the book's cover.

Countless streams of magical knowledge flooded into his mind.

Peter furrowed his brows slightly and blocked them out.

Now was not the time to learn magic.

All he needed was for this divine book to help counteract a portion of the Great Web's attacks.

Although the Book of Vishanti wasn't specifically an artifact of life and destiny, it was still a divine relic.

In fact, in some ways, it was an artifact infinitely close to a multiversal level. Otherwise, how could it be the sole nemesis of the Darkhold?

Peter closed his eyes.

In his mental world, the Book of Vishanti transformed into a massive golden shield, soaring upward and gradually enveloping the entire world.

Under its influence, all the things that had disappeared due to the Great Web's interference—manipulated by the Weaver—began to reappear.

But that didn't mean this world was safe.

The most crucial thread of fate was still missing.

And that thread could only be retrieved from the Great Web!

Wait—no!

Peter suddenly realized—he had that ability too!

In his astral state, he extended his hand and attempted to release a strand of quantum webbing.

Then, something astonishing happened.

That quantum web emitted the essence of life and destiny!

With the power of Captain Universe amplifying his mental strength to an infinite degree, he found that he could weave unlimited quantum webbing—turning it into the very fabric of this world's fate.

Before long, an intricate web of fate, woven entirely from Peter's quantum threads, stretched across the void of Universe Earth-13.

Earth-13 had been saved!

Even Peter himself was in shock.

He had always known he could connect to the Great Web. But he had never imagined—he could weave it himself!

What did this mean?

It meant that he wasn't merely a "guardian of the Web of Life and Destiny"—he was its creator!

He was the equivalent of a Spider-God!

"Could it be that the spider that bit me was actually the true body of the Spider-God? And that's why it bestowed its divine power upon me?" A thought surfaced in Peter's mind.

However, the realm of gods was still far beyond his reach.

Even with the combined strength of Captain Universe and the Book of Vishanti—placing him at the peak of a single universe and possibly even brushing against the multiversal level—he had only just acquired these abilities.

If it were his former self, he would have been utterly drained after weaving just a few strands of fate-webbing.

This wasn't something an ordinary being could accomplish.

Only by drawing power from an entire universe and wielding divine artifacts could such a feat be achieved.

But Peter wasn't discouraged.

He believed that one day, he would reach that level on his own.

Perhaps, one day, he could even weave a world from before his transmigration—returning to that life, raising two children with Gwen, and watching the rise and fall of the multiverse from afar.

Having restored Earth-13, Peter lifted his gaze to the sky.

To be precise, he was looking toward the universe of Earth-001.

The Weaver Master!

Now, he could finally "see" him with his own eyes.

The Weaver Master was somewhat astonished by Peter's sudden surge of power.

He reached out his hand, attempting to use his authority to destroy the web that Peter had just woven.

But at that moment, Peter narrowed his eyes, and an attack shot out from his body. Following the threads of the Great Web, it instantly traversed countless parallel universes, reaching the very core of the Great Web.

He knew how to deal with the Weaver Master now!

However, the Weaver Master had no idea what Peter had done and continued to struggle, tearing at the threads.

This alone revealed the gap in power between them.

One was an intuitive creator, while the other was merely a user.

The authority of a creator was clearly superior to that of a mere user.

Peter quietly extended his own thread of fate, subtly covering the strands of the Great Web near the Weaver Master.

The Great Web had been temporarily hijacked by Peter!

Then, using his authority, Peter directly revoked the Weaver Master's access and blacklisted him from the Great Web!

It was all done in one seamless motion!

By the time the Weaver Master realized what had happened, the surrounding threads of fate had already taken Peter's form.

"Let's see how you die now!"

Peter let out a cold laugh and withdrew from this state.

Although the battle had lasted only a short moment, it had actually consumed a significant amount of energy.

After all, the Great Web was a true multiversal construct, while Peter was currently using two single-universe-level constructs. Even though he had only hijacked a small portion of it, the sheer amount of power he had exerted in such a short time had already pushed them beyond their limits. It would take some time for them to recover.

But Peter had no intention of waiting.

Because the outcome was already decided.

He loosened his grip, took a few deep breaths, and patted his slightly dizzy head.

"How are you feeling?" Doctor Strange walked over and asked.

His attitude was much better than before because he had seen that this world had been restored.

Although many who had died earlier could not be resurrected, compared to the entire world being erased from the threads of fate, the current outcome was at least barely acceptable.

"Doctor Strange."

"Just call me Strange. After all, we've fought side by side," Doctor Strange said with a smile.

"Alright, Strange," Peter adapted quickly. "Do you know resurrection spells?"

Doctor Strange nodded. "You want to bring Peter back?"

Peter nodded and said, "Yes. He sacrificed himself to pass the power of the Captain Universe to me, entrusting me with the hope of saving the world. He was a hero who saved the world. He shouldn't just die like this."

But Doctor Strange shook his head. "If that's the case, then you should be the one to resurrect him."

"Me? But I don't know resurrection spells," Peter said.

Doctor Strange pointed at the Book of Vishanti. "This book contains all the white magic in the world, including divine resurrection spells. You are not only a great warrior but also a great sorcerer. Learn it, use it—it is rightfully yours."

"...Alright!" Peter was somewhat excited.

To his surprise, this time, the Book of Vishanti no longer rejected him.

Countless white magic spells flooded into his mind.

Among them was Resurrection Divine Spell!
