Meanwhile, David had used all his connections to track down the person who had sent him the envelope. To his surprise, there was no trace of the sender — not even in their surveillance footage.
"That's strange. How can someone deliver an envelope and not leave a single trace?" he muttered under his breath.
Dorothy, who was in the same room, eyed him sharply.
"I think this is a well-planned scheme against us," she said firmly. "And whoever's behind it is playing it safe."
