Chapter 103 - Lesson in Rulership [3]

Raguel crossed her legs as she waited for the princess to read the new letter, "Now, who did you plan to send to deliver such an important missive?"

"I... thought about delivering it myself..." Aurelia scratched her cheek.

Raguel's eyes widened for a moment, "Horrible choice, possibly even worse than sending a servant."

Aurelia nodded, but she had only one question: "Why?"

Raguel's lip curled up in a slight smile. "If you go yourself, you are making yourself inferior to them."

The golden angel tapped her fingers on the table, "And if you send a servant... well, it means you lack respect."

"Even if they do not deserve respect, it is your duty to uphold the proper way of doing things."

Her gaze fell onto the Duo of Archangels that stood guard behind Aurelia.

"You could send your Archangels to deliver it."

"But... they look like demi-humans... Nobility would surely take it as an insult..." Aurelia's voice softened.

Raguel's face contorted in an expression of anger, "And yet they will learn what we are. Forget Archangels, I will personally go and deliver this letter."

Raguel stood up, her wings shrank as she gained appearance, just as any human was, despite her far above average appearance.

"Lady... Raguel? Are you sure?..." Aurelia's eyes widened as she saw Raguel stand up and transform.

"Yes, I understand why you would hesitate to send Archangels." She stared at a distance before continuing, "I wish to see these fools with my own eyes before you meet them."

Raguel walked towards the Garden exit before turning to Aurelia, "Also, your Majesty, do tell me which houses are openly hostile."

Her face gained a terrifying expression.

"House... Sapphire that I know of right now... Senate might be held soon to depose me..."

"Sapphire... Good. Do not worry, once the Senate is gathered, they will be on your side or they will be removed. Once I return, we will continue with your lessons." Raguel waved before making her way out.

Aurelia slumped on her chair, "I guess that is it, I won't be able to spare them..."

Aurelia's hands covered her face as she groaned.

'Raguel is scary... why would my future husband summon someone like her...' She was terrified of the woman, such a strict attitude was not something she was used to.

No she knew exactly why; he cared so much for her that he summoned most ideal teacher for her.

Aurelia could truly appreciate it despite Raguel scaring her.

A small smile plastered itself on her face as she stood up, "Ladios, Rayn, let's go back. Lucious must have met Raguel too... poor girl."

Just as the trio made their way back to the throne Aurelia noticed Lucious fidgeting out of corner of her eye, before she couldn't hope to notice such small details but Cedric's blessing had increased her senses to superhuman levels.

"Lucious, what is wrong? Did Raguel chew you out?" Her voice softened with compassion.

Lucious nodded, "Yes... But I wish to make a small request if it is fine..." Her face blushed, much like Aurelia's own.

Something that Princess could clearly see.

"Oh... tell me, common! Don't be shy, you are one of my most loyal guardians!" Aurelia smiled warmly.

Lucious let out a small sigh before speaking.

"Ever since my husband and I were cleansed, we have not had a minute of alone time..."

Aurelia raised her eyebrow, she knew exactly what the girl was gonna ask.

"Can I request some private time with Rayn... I know it might be too much to ask for but I really miss his touch..." She shut her eyes as she finished her question.

Aurelia's eyes widened at the question.

It made sense, ever since their cleansing, they weren't able to be alone one-on-one.

Aurelia turned to Rayn who also wore a slight blush; he clearly wished for some alone time despite not daring to ask her.

Aurelia brought her hand before her mouth before laughing.

"Hahahahaha." She couldn't keep down her laugh, the couple was adorable despite trying to murder her in cold blood before their cleansing.

"Of course you can have alone time, I am as strong as you two now. I am sure you will get here on time if I require support." She stopped for a moment, "Do not tell Raguel I let you have this."

Lucious beamed with a wide smile, before dropping to her knees, "Of course, Lady Aurelia! I wouldn't dare!"

With immense speed, she rushed forward and grabbed Rayn's hand, pulling him towards herself, "Come, darling we need to catch up!"

Rayn merely nodded as he let himself be dragged by the eager Archangel.

Aurelia couldn't help but smile and feel happy for the couple.

'One day I will do that to Cedric~'

"You two can use one of the empty rooms! Do not destroy it, please!" She shouted as the duo disappeared, leaving only her and Ladios.

"Ladios, you don't need to tell Cedric I let them spend some time together, right?" Aurelia glanced at Ladios.

"Of course, Lady Aurelia. They weren't created by Father as such desires for one another remain. I believe Father would understand."

Aurelia nodded, relief washing over her as Ladios reassured her that it was fine to let the couple do their 'catching up'.

"Well enough of that, what is my next duty?"

"I believe so-called 'Carpenter guild' was being formed, and they require the Crown's permission and funding to set up their organization; their representative should be arriving in a matter of minutes," Ladios spoke coldly.

"Carpenter guild?" Aurelia tapped her cheek.

This was a guild that some eager craftsmen tried to establish almost 10 years ago. Ever since then, they applied each year, attempting to gain King's approval, and yet Father denied them every single time they applied.

'I am not Avaros, I will hear them out and give them everything they need if their operation will benefit Cedric's mission...'

"Good, let them come in and see me when they wish." Aurelia leaned against the throne's backrest as she awaited the arrival of representatives.
