Crystal stopped her car outside a huge, magnificent and glorious building, the building was speaking power itself just like the man who runs it. One guard immediately came forward and opened the door from which she stepped out gracefully. Removing her shades, she stared at the centre of the building on which 'Maxwells' was boldly written, then wore them again.
Many people halted in their places when she was entering the building with four guards behind her and a lawyer beside, as no one dared to make such a grand entrance in their office. She was like a queen who didn't need to make her own place as people were making way for her. She signalled to her one guard something who nodded his head.
The company was Maxwell's territory but she was walking there like she owned it, crossing the reception without stopping Crystal directly goes to the Marketing Department which handles the main forum of the company.
Arriving at the marketing department and disregarding everyone's gazes, she straightly goes to a desk and knocks on the table at which a blonde was sitting "Lucy Gilbert?"
Crystal asked making her stand up and she nodded her head
Showing her those articles she continued "Did you write these articles?"
"Who… who are you?" Lucy fumbles
"The protagonist of these articles!" declared while removing her shades
When Lucy heard this and looked at Crystal for a while then bursts out laughing but Crystal was just looking at her dully
"Look guys, who's here? The Damsel in Distress! The Attention Seeker of our company!" Lucy sneered
Crystal heard many chuckling and giggling voice making her sigh
"Yes, I write these articles. Who do you think you are? Do you deserve our CEO? You are just a little wench who can only roam around our CEO but he'll not spare a glance at you."
Crystal rubbed her temple due to Lucy's voice "So annoying!"
"What will you do? What can you…"
But Lucy's words were left incomplete as Crystal slapped her
"Why so loud?"
Slap!
"You've a very annoying voice."
Slap!
"I just asked one question…"
Slap!
"You could've replied in yes or no."
Her last slap made Lucy fall on the floor making her shout angrily "Are you crazy? What are you doing?
"Bullying! Can't you see."
The office turned silent as Lucy was on the floor with a reddened left cheek, Crystal picked a water bottle from a table and poured it on her making her shriek "I thought to remove your ugliness but looks like you are ugly from inside"
She threw the bottle somewhere and brought her face closer to her "You love to write rumours and I love to make them true!"
Shivers ran down Lucy's spine when her eyes met with Crystal's eyes that were filled with ridicule as she's looking at something very insignificant.
"You…" A girl was about to come forward but with Crystal's one glance she stepped back.
Crystal sat on a chair which her guard brought.
"Do you think you can get away like this? Our CEO will not leave you when he'll come to know what you did with his employee."
"Tsk" Clicking her tongue, Crystal raises Lucy's chin with her forefinger
"Allow me to wake you up from your dream, your CEO can't do anything to me, do you know why?..." Giving a dramatic pause she continued "if my memory serves right then we never had a proper introduction right?"
With next words she recalled her old introduction in the company
'Ladies and gentleman, I'm your new intern'
"Ladies and gentleman, I'm your worst nightmare"
'Crystal, Please take care of me'
"Crystal Wayne, let me take care of you all"
With that she revolved on the chair to take in everyone's reaction who were panic-stricken "Bravo, that's the kind of reaction I was expecting."
"Mr. Philip!"
Mr. Philip, who was witnessing this scene, was admiring the girl. Everyone thinks that this girl was a pampered and spoiled princess of the Waynes but nobody knows that she's the biggest investor behind two largest real estate companies. She was truly a Wayne, shrew and totally a bully. She clearly knows how to turn things in her way.
Coming forward he handed a file to her which she threw on Lucy's face "Wayne Group is suing Lucy Gilbert and her cousin Janet Glen in the case of defaming Crystal Wayne and for hurting her. Including them, the whole of Maxwell's marketing department are sued for promoting cyberbullying and defamation."
As Mr. Philip discloses this by giving another file to the Marketing Department's Head, everyone turned pale while Lucy was horrified after looking into the file.
"Ms. Wayne, I apologise, please forgive us. I… I was wrong!"
She was about to grab Crystal's foot but she moved it back "You scarred my reputation while your cousin scarred my face making me look hideous which I don't like at all."
Standing up she continued "So, I'm not going to stop till I'm not satisfied"
"What is happening here?" Crystal froze after hearing the same cold and sharp voice after many years, everything flashes before her eye whatever happened in her previous life and this life. She realised that she had loved this man more than her own age but what she received was nothing more than this cold voice and his distant self.
"This voice is so different from the voice I heard in my last life." She thought bitterly, that time when he came to know the truth and in this life he was unaware but she has decided that she won't tell him the truth as in this life she got nothing to do with the word Love
"As if he'll believe you." Her mind chimed.
Mustering up her courage she turned to face him then nodded her head in acknowledging his presence "CEO Maxwell."
A frown appeared on Lucas's face after hearing the blandness in Crystal's tone and that same blank and indifferent voice.
"I apologise for entering like this but it looks like your marketing department owes me something so I was here to clear the debt, I hope you won't mind that."
She took out a letter from her bag and gave it to Ben "That's my resignation letter, from now I've no association with Maxwell Group. Have a good day"
Saying this she was passing by him when he saw her left hand's ring finger empty in which she wore their engagement ring all the time.
He reached out his hand to hold her hand involuntarily but Crystal avoided his hand and asked sternly "What do you want?"
Her this act displeased him "Why are you not wearing your engagement ring?" There was a sort of infuriated in his voice
"Inconvenience!" She replied and left without turning her back once again.
