Isla was too stunned to speak
Her lips parted but no sound came out. Her heart pounded in her chest and tears welled up in her chest clouding her vision. The man in front of her was so tall and had a face that one could only see in a painting. He had a sad smile on his face.
Lucian.
He looked so much different from when she had last seen him but looked the same at the same time.
She took a few steps backwards as the air suddenly turned thick making it difficult for her to breathe.
"I…" she stuttered,her words stumbling and breaking like it was glass. "You…"
Lucian who had been standing by the door walked closer towards her,a soft smile playing on his lips. "Yes Isla. I know" he said gently,his voice smooth as silk. "There's probably a thousand questions running through your head right now"
She nodded slowly, barely breathing.
"But you…" she swallowed back the thick lump in her throat. "But she said you died a long time ago"
