The world returned in fragments.
Isla's skull throbbed with a dull ache that felt like a hammer had been struck on her head. Her limbs felt so weak and heavy and she felt like she was frozen underwater. The sweet scent of lavender and sandalwood filled the air. The air around her felt so… homely. Comforting.
She moved.
The bed she was laying on felt so soft like freshly baked bread, the silk sheets cool against her skin. She rubbed her eyes as her vision blurred and doubled,the bright light of the room causing her to squint her eyes.
Where's this place?
Everywhere felt so unfamiliar and strange looking. The room was illuminated by the flickering candles by the windows. Beautiful drawings and symbols were carved onto the walls and it felt like it was telling a story. The room felt like one of those rooms at the Disney pack when she was in the human city.
Then, a voice cut through the silence startling her.
