Su Chen glanced at Tang Guo'er, who was clutching her sleeve with a desperate look in her eyes.
"Brother Su, I trust you. You have to help me!"
Right now, the only person she could rely on was the tall, broad-shouldered man beside her.
Su Chen's expression turned firm.
"Don't worry. I have a way to deal with them. Just stay behind me."
Though Su Chen looked strong and tall, he was still just one person, while the other side had three grown men. Tang Guo'er wasn't sure if he really had a plan or if he was just rushing to his death. She couldn't help but feel uneasy.
Su Chen pulled Tang Guo'er into the RV, started the engine, and accelerated straight toward the location where her parents were being held.
It was only about a minute away.
The RV roared forward and screeched to a halt just a meter away from the burly tattooed man. The sudden movement startled him, and he immediately called out to his companions.
"Hey, Liu, Zhang, another idiot just came looking for death! Don't let him go!"
The yellow-haired man and the short guy stepped out, both looking irritated.
Tang Guo'er's mother lay on the bed inside the RV, her clothes in tatters. She was only one step away from complete violation when Su Chen's arrival disrupted their plans.
The yellow-haired man's eyes burned with fury at being interrupted.
Tang Guo'er's father, still pinned under the tattooed man's foot, caught sight of his daughter sitting in the passenger seat, sobbing and murmuring something he couldn't make out.
Tang Guo'er's vision blurred with tears. Seeing her parents being treated like this, how could she possibly endure it?
She reached for the door handle, ready to jump out and fight to the death, but Su Chen stopped her.
"Guo'er, calm down. If you act recklessly, you'll only make things worse."
"But they—"
"I have a plan. Trust me. Just do as I say."
Tang Guo'er hesitated. If she charged in blindly, she would only be throwing her life away. Right now, her best option was to believe in Su Chen.
She looked at him, eyes filled with trust. He had been her light in the darkest of times.
The yellow-haired man had been about to curse when he suddenly spotted Tang Guo'er in the passenger seat. His eyes gleamed with excitement.
"Well, well! Who would've thought such a beauty was hiding in this godforsaken place? Heh, I like it."
"Tonight, you're mine, babe."
Then he turned to Su Chen with a sneer.
"Hey, idiot! Don't you know where you are? You almost ran into me here."
"Be smart and get your ass out of the truck."
The short guy, ever the sycophant, chimed in.
"Yeah, he is right! Get the fuck out of your truck!"
Su Chen didn't even acknowledge them. Instead, he leaned back in his seat, crossed one leg over the other, and casually lit a cigarette. He even handed a banana to Tang Guo'er.
The yellow-haired man's face twisted with anger.
"What the hell is this? You think you can ignore me?"
He suddenly pulled a pistol from his waist and pointed it at Su Chen, a smug smirk on his face.
Seeing the gun, Tang Guo'er gasped and instinctively grabbed Su Chen's shoulder.
The yellow-haired man saw her reaction and felt a perverse thrill.
"Oh? Afraid now, sweetheart? Hahaha!"
Su Chen, however, remained unfazed, calmly exhaling a puff of smoke.
"Relax. We need to win this with confidence."
Then, to the yellow-haired man's shock, Su Chen raised his middle finger at him.
"You little shit, you have a death wish, don't you?!"
The yellow-haired man pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The bullet struck the RV's window—without leaving a single scratch.
Su Chen remained where he was, still puffing his cigarette. Tang Guo'er forced herself to pretend she was calm, nibbling on her banana, though her hands were shaking.
The yellow-haired man's jaw dropped.
"What the hell? This piece of junk RV has bulletproof windows?"
He fired several more shots, aiming for the tires this time. He figured that even if the windows were bulletproof, the tires should be an easy target.
But no matter how many bullets he fired, the tires remained unscathed.
The tattooed man pounded his fists against the car door, while the short guy jumped between cheering him on and egging on the yellow-haired man.
The constant banging on the door irritated Su Chen.
He sighed, opened the door—and fired.
Bang!
The tattooed man dropped dead on the spot.
The short guy froze. His legs gave out, and he collapsed onto the ground, raising his hands in surrender.
"I give up! I give up! Please don't kill me!"
"Big Brother, you're a great man. Spare me, please!"
Su Chen had already made up his mind—none of them were leaving here alive. Scum like this had no place in the world.
These types only bullied the weak and feared the strong.
Without hesitation, Su Chen fired again.
Bang!
The short guy slumped over, dead.
Tang Guo'er stared at Su Chen, completely in awe.
She never expected to meet a man like this—someone who was truly a ray of hope in her darkest moment.
"That was… amazing! I think I just became your biggest fan!"
Now, only the yellow-haired man was left.
Despite not being the leader, he was easily the most despicable of the three.
He turned and ran.
"You think you can escape?"
The guy was fast, sprinting several meters in mere seconds.
Hearing Su Chen's voice behind him, he ran even faster, fear gripping his heart.
He still had a gun, but after witnessing Su Chen's ruthlessness, he was too scared to use it. He had spent his life bullying others, but he had never actually killed anyone.
Su Chen raised his bow and let loose an arrow.
Thwack!
It pierced the yellow-haired man's hand, making him drop his gun.
A second arrow struck his leg.
The yellow-haired man fell to his knees.
Su Chen approached him, gun in hand. The outcome was clear—death.
"Please! Have mercy! I swear I'll change! I'll turn over a new leaf!"
Bang!
A bullet to the chest.
The yellow-haired man collapsed. Dead.
