Chapter 2 - 2 This is the sense of ceremony

"Another one, looks like our luck is good today!"

From within the cornfield, another person suddenly emerged, holding a rusty, blood-stained knife in his hand.

The two men were clearly forming a circle and slowly walked towards Yun Ran.

"This girl is much prettier, after we're done, we can sell her for a good price!"

Yun Ran's eyes swept coldly over the two men, who were surrounded by a thick aura of blood that spread desperately around them.

The nearby corn, once vibrant and full of life, appeared wilted and dull due to the blood aura.

These men were typical heinous criminals, deeply wicked, and within her range for elimination.

She formed a seal with one hand and uttered a single word, "Bind."

The two men, fierce and malicious, were suddenly immobilized, unable to move as Yun Ran's voice fell.

Before they could react, their toes lifted off the ground.

They wanted to scream but couldn't open their mouths, their faces showing sheer terror as they faced the unknown.

"Stained with blood, committing all kinds of evil, today you will taste the wrath of the Heavenly Thunder!"

Yun Ran bit her finger, drawing a Thunder Summoning Talisman in the air, which instantly hit the two men.

She was a professional at drawing talismans, though she mostly drew peace charms. Encountering evil, she became the light of the Righteous Path!

Despite the clear skies, clouds suddenly gathered, flashing with thunder.

The Heavenly Punishment struck them precisely, causing the two men to fall to the ground with only a breath left, screaming in agony.

Seeing the thin strands of Heavenly Thunder, Yun Ran sighed. This body was too weak; in her former physique, these two would have been annihilated, not left with any breath.

"What's going on, why did the Heavenly Punishment suddenly descend!"

The Heavenly Punishment alerted many hidden experts, who began investigating if someone caused trouble.

Yun Ran looked at the two men lying on the ground like dead dogs, then walked to where the figure had emerged, finding a stabbed youth.

Seeing his chest slightly moving, Yun Ran didn't dare to touch him. She checked her fingers, already somewhat stopping the blood.

Resigned, she squeezed again, letting the blood flow, directly drawing a Life-saving Talisman on the boy's face.

As soon as the talisman was drawn, it vanished, and the boy's face, previously pale, became much more flushed.

"Host, those two men were top wanted criminals, with a bounty of thirty thousand each, you've made it!"

Yun Ran had always been poor; if not for the support from her junior brothers and sisters, she would be the first poor joke as a senior sister.

Upon hearing about the Ginsengfruit's reward money, she didn't hesitate for a second, immediately calling the police, afraid of missing the chance.

Soon, three police cars arrived, followed by an ambulance.

Yun Ran was taken to the police station to give her statement, after some time, two officers entered. Yun Ran was sitting with her legs crossed.

The younger officer couldn't help but twitch his mouth, thinking what kind of girl remains so calm seeing such a scene.

The lead officer seemed experienced, his eyes could see through everything, "Did you apprehend them?"

"Kind of."

The lightning marks couldn't be denied; Yun Ran admitted honestly, fearing the reward money would slip away.

"What do you mean by 'kind of'?"

"Oh, I was contemplating life when I heard cries for help. I dashed over to see them committing crimes and planned to reason with them.

But they wouldn't listen and tried to attack me, so I got angry and summoned the Heavenly Punishment to deal with them!"

Officer: …

Do you hear yourself!

"We verified your identity, you are the Third Miss Yun from the Hai City Yun Family, returned to Qingshui Town for ancestral worship two days ago. Since you're not yet 18, we've contacted your guardians..."

The implication was clear, Yun Ran wasn't liked by the Yun Family, her reputation was terrible, known for being competitive and lying.

Anyone with a bit of face in Qingshui Town wouldn't believe her.

If Yun Family found out she was spouting nonsense in the police station, Yun Ran wouldn't be in good shape.

Yun Ran became unhappy immediately, "You don't think the two criminals suddenly developed a conscience and laid there waiting for you, do you?

Also, I saved those two youths! Be honest, are you trying not to give me the reward!"

Even as the former Third Miss Yun of the wealthy Yun Family, her spending money was below ten thousand.

Sixty thousand was a significant amount.

Afraid of losing the money, Yun Ran quickly calculated, confirming it would end up in her pocket, her face lit up with a smile.

The young officer looked at her, eyes flashing. He heard from friends in Hai City, the Third Miss Yun was very greedy.

Now it seemed true; he sympathized a bit with Mrs. Yun.

"The capture was due to your call; the reward money is yours. However, being under 18, it will go to your guardian."

If it was the original owner, she'd have to watch the money handed to Qu Ying, but not Yun Ran. She had a bad mental state.

She originally intended to slap Qu Ying, the unworthy mother. If Qu Ying dared to take her money, Yun Ran would slap her in front of the Yun Family!

"I'm skilled at talisman drawing and feng shui; divination too, very proficient. Today you're lucky, I still have three divinations left, let me predict for you."

Yun Ran looked at the older officer's face, then closed her eyes, shaking her head and chanting. It was a ritual she learned from her uncle to help clients willingly pay.

As the older officer grew impatient, Yun Ran suddenly opened her eyes.

"You have lived with integrity, with your own principles, yet have an unresolved issue causing you restless nights and neglecting your family. Your wife left with your daughter."

The young officer's eyes widened, knowing nothing of his mentor's private life. Was the Third Miss Yun truly a God Stick!!!

But Yun Ran continued, "Years ago, you and your senior brother were on a mission, due to your mistake, he went missing. You haven't given up searching for him all these years."
