Onyx scoffed. "You must be out of your mind if you think you could just hack Echo. He belongs to me."
"No," Isabelle shot back. "It rightfully belongs to me."
A sharp laugh escaped Onyx. "Really? And how exactly did you come to that conclusion? Did you kill the rightful owner and claim it as yours?"
Isabelle's jaw clenched. "I didn't kill anyone."
But Onyx wasn't listening. She was lost in her own thoughts, her mind racing through the possibilities. Her missing sister was supposed to look exactly like her. Yet the woman in front of her—this Isabelle—looked completely different.
That could only mean one thing. Her sister had willingly handed over Echo's controls to her.
Her sharp gaze locked onto Isabelle once more, now filled with a dangerous intensity. "Where is she?"
Isabelle frowned. "Where is who?"
"My sister," Onyx hissed, her patience snapping.
Isabelle's confusion deepened. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
