Onyx's smirk widened. "Tell me, Sonia… did it feel good, watching everything backfire on you?"
Sonia didn't know how to react. "Did you think coming back from the dead I'll scare me?"
"What are you talking about?" Onyx asked, a bit confused.
Sonia realized that the person in front of her is not likely Ruth. She chose to remain quiet.
"I have a feeling we will cross paths again." Onyx said and walked away.
Sonia's breathing was erratic as she scrambled to her feet, watching Onyx disappear into the shadows. Her mind raced with confusion and fear.
"Who even was that?" she muttered under her breath, wiping sweat from her forehead.
But the resemblance to Ruby was haunting.
Does ruby have a twin sister that I didn't know about? She thought.
But then she exhaled, her muscles relaxing just slightly.
No. Ruby was dead.
She was the one who made sure of that.
"Even if she is ruby's sister. Ruby is dead, and they will never find out I was the one that got rid of her."
