A curious crowd stood outside a police-barricaded area, craning their necks to see the police van that had been racing moments ago, only to end up skidding off the road and going down the hill.
A man stood at a corner pointing to an orange sedan parked behind him with the bumper taken off.
"Excuse me, that van took off the bumper of my car! Seeing how they work for the government, shouldn't the government reimburse me for the damage?"
The officer nodded.
"Leave your number and we'll get back to you later."
With that, he left the civilian and walked into the scene.
As he left, the crowd began murmuring amongst themselves.
"I heard a police van was racing and didn't believe it. Aren't they the ones who usually chase me down to give me a speeding ticket when I'm harmlessly speeding?"
"Tell me about it. And it's not like I speed on busy roads. I make sure the coast is clear before I do it, but those nutjobs still pull me over and give me a ticket."
