I groan as the sun hits my face. My eyes blink repeatedly as I wake up on the grass. My eyes move down to the black haired beauty sleeping with her head in my chest. I smile and move a strand of hair away from face. I hold back laughter as I listen to her soft snoring and see the drool dribbling down from her partly open mouth onto my clothes. I smile softly as I pat her head enjoying the feeling of her hair in my hand.
I sigh as I lean back onto Windshear and take a good look around to see that she has wrapped both her head and tail around us both in a protective embrace. Then my eyes land on the red haired man and red bearded man with a blue claw on his left eye leaning on a tree. I look into his green eyes and hold his intense gaze while I continue to pat his sister's head. I nod at him which he returns with a reassured smile as if he knows that his sister is safe with me. He gives one more look at his sister before he stands off the tree and walks back to his ship. I smile happy to see that my little mates brother is very protective of her.
"MMMMHHHHMMM" She groans as she begins to snuggle closer before her eyes begin to blink rapidly before her head raises. I look into her beautiful green eyes before rubbing the leftover drool on the side of her mouth with my thumb. She sits up and stretches showing off her body through the tight outfit she is wearing making me smile. I lean back further into Windshear in an attempt to get a better view, causing the metal dragon to yawn and blink her eyes awake. Looking at the black haired girl straddling me the dragon rolls her eyes but stays in place. My eyes roam over Heathers body as she fully wakes up. "Morning."
"Morning darling. Sleep well?" She nods before standing and stretching her back creating many crackles and pops originating. My smile grows as I stand and stretch my tired muscles and walk over toward Windshear's head and give her a quick pat before she raises her head and nuzzle into my face. I smile as she stands and walks toward Heather who is standing a little away watching us. The dragon nuzzles in and gives her face a loving lick which makes her flinch and me burst out laughing.
"Oh shut up you big meanie." She yells at me annoyed but can't seem to hide the soft smile that is persistently remains on her face.
"So you want to talk about it now." I walk up close taking her right and in my and rubbing making sure she knows I am here for her. A deep breath enters and exits her mouth as she calms down.
"Me and my brother talked for a long time about.... well everything." Her body leans back against a nearby tree but her hand remains with mine as she continues. "He explained why he needed to do what he did and it honestly and annoyingly made sense. He said when our father went missing the village was in disarray and even I can remember that." Tears begin to fall down her face slowly as she tries to continue. I smile softly and move my hand to her back and rub it encouraging her to continue. "He lied about killing our father to take control of the village and protect me. I almost killed my brother for something he didn't actually do!" Her tears start streaming down her face as she presses it into her chest with my hands on her back and head rubbing softly trying to calm her down.
"Let it all out." Her black hair tangles within my hands as she lets it all out. Windshear wraps herself around us in an embrace showing how much she cares for both me and her rider. I smile as I see this feeling Heather slowly beginning to calm down. Taking one final deep breath she looks up at me wiping the tears away from her eyes.
"Thanks I needed that. I am fine now." I smile and kiss her forehead before letting her go. Her face fills with a red blush which only turns my soft smile in a eager smirk. "Want to meet my brother?" I smile and follow her through the forest. We zig zag through the dense forest until we reach a massive dock with around 10 dragon hunter ships docked. I whistle and look over the many different ships.
"Well that is an impressive fleet." Heather nods while looking around trying to find her brother and his new ally Ryker. Her eyes land on the red haired man and the bald man with the weird goatee beard. She motions for me and Windshear to follow her as we approach the men causing them to turn. Dagur's face displays a deranged smile as he runs up and engulfs his sister in a hug.
"Sister it is good to see that you are feeling better." I smile softly at their interaction before my attention moves to Ryker who is looking over us. I return the favour giving him a once over and keeping a close eye on him. His eyebrow raises as he looks at me more closely.
"You are an interesting one." The moment he finishes speaking he draws a sword from his back. My reaction is equally as fast as I summon a blade from my right wrist tattoo and blocks his. He looks shocked for a moment but smirks as he we begin to duel. Heather looks over in shock at the sight of us fighting. Ryker smirks probably not had this much fun in a long time as this. Drawing his second sword he begins to do a swinging motion trying to hit the spots that are unguarded by my single blade. I smirk summoning my second blade and blocking both of his turning it into a pushing battle. My eyes moth to Heather for a moment and see her smirking while Dagur has his mouth open in shock. I smirk back at heather before I duck and spin dodging and kicking Ryker in the legs making him fall. I stand above him and aim my blade at his head. He smirks and raises his hands.
"You are truly strong. You will make a great hunter." I make my swords disappear and put my hand out for him to take. He takes it and stands dusting himself off and sheath his swords. "While I knew that Heather would be strong. Same with any berserker. But you I needed to test. Now let's get ready there is much to do." Nodding I walk toward Dagur and Heather and smirk at Heather and give her a nod which she returns. I turn and look back at Ryker smiling happy about the future.
"Yes there is much to be done."
