Sophia returned home, showered, and then checked on Laura in her room.

Sophia gently closed the door and stepped into Capone's arms, who scooped her up and carried her straight to the large bed in their bedroom.
"What are you doing?" she whispered, not daring to speak too loudly for fear of waking Laura, who had just fallen asleep.
"Showing you our new home."
Capone kissed her cheek, grabbed his laptop, and with her still in his arms, started flipping through images on the screen.
Sophia's eyes widened in surprise. "When were these pictures taken?"
The photos showed the beachside villa at S.T., newly redecorated with brand-new furniture. The terrace was adorned with fresh flowers and flowing white curtains.
