Christina almost wanted to strangle this woman who could never get anything right and only ruined everything. But the most urgent matter now was making sure Ellen didn't change the will—otherwise, everything would have been for nothing.
After thinking it through, she realized there was only one solution: Ellen had to die before she could modify the will. That way, the will as previously read would take effect.
Her heart pounded wildly, but at this point, she felt as though everything was fate.
Fate was forcing her to do this.
The next day, Howard called to say that Ellen's condition had taken a sudden turn for the worse and she had been moved into the ICU. Christina immediately sensed an opportunity.
