Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

"Huh!?" Page said as she looked at her new robotic body

"Looks like the roboticization process was a success," Cami said happily.

"Roboticization?" Page said confused still overlooking her new self as she stood there

"Those intruders that entered your village and refuse to leave nor respect that it was under our Lord. They were the cause of you and Carter's original bodies being inoperable anymore" Cami informed her.

"That does make sense as it was their fault that happened" Page agreed.

The way everyone in the village currently seemed to view things was not that anything was Cami's fault at all. She did not cause the need for Page's and Crater's bodies to be replaced. Although her crashing into them was the cause in their eyes it was merely viewed as an effect. The cause was the intruders because if they had merely listened to Cami and left like she had told them to. Not trying to show off and continue disrespecting the Southern Guardian like they were at the time. Then not only would Page and Crater still have their original bodies but the intruders would also still be alive as well themselves. There was only so much forgiveness that Cami was willing to give out and they crossed that line and thus signed their own death warrants in a sense.

"So how do you like your new body" Cami asked her

"This is amazing as now I feel like am I able to serve our Lord even better than I could before. There are so many things that I can do now that I was not able to before" Page said as she was mentally counting them.

"Of course you can and also you will be pleased to know that you no longer have to worry about proving your status as a member of the village" the grey robot informed her.

"Wait huh!?" Page said to sound a little worried at this news

She was pleased even overjoyed that she was in her current state as this meant being able to serve the Southern Guardian that she looked up to even when only two people indulged in her belief at all. Neither Crater nor his mom truly believed that the Southern Guardian existed themselves but if Page insisted on it then they would both hold off their final judgment. That is until she proved herself right or she was proved wrong as at the time neither side had proof to back up their claims either way in the first place. The other villagers however just accepted that the Southern Guardian did not exist because that was considered common knowledge. However, Page presented counters that could provide answers to various unknown questions that otherwise would have no answers to them. The mother and son decided to go with the girl who lived with them not just because of that reason but because she had legitimate reasons for her actions. Everyone else's was just was that just how it was which was merely just accept their current norm when something else could prove otherwise.

"No one doubts your claim of being a member of the village now. After all, how could they since you are so devoted to our Lord after all" Cami said happily as she clapped her hands together.

"Ummm...Why are you wearing that" Page asked

"This? I am wearing it because it makes it so I do not come in direct contact with things and/or myself that easily. It was put on me while I was offline myself after dealing with those intruders. I like it as does make things easier on me after all" Cami said

Page nodded as she thought that made perfect sense as the shirt served a purpose thus why she was wearing it. However, what did not come up was why Page was not getting dressed herself like Cami her sense of human modesty had been removed during her roboticization. Thus instead of putting her clothes back on she just threw them away as they were just seen as something uneeded and were tossed out as they were cleaning up the place to set things up for Crater's turn. Which would be far faster than Page's since the process had already been completed once. So a second time should take less time than the first one did as a result.

Thus Page walked over to where Southern Guardian was sitting motionless on his throne.

'This is like a dream come true as I am really working for the Southern Guardian and everyone now believes and accepts me as well' Page thought.

Cami left out what happened to those villagers who did not just accept Page as a member of their village despite everyone else doing so. Some also started questioning why everyone was just going along with this narrative that they were creating that spun things so that Cami was not to blame directly for what happened to Page and Crater.

That her bumping into the two was not the result of her own inaction nor the intruders' failure to listen to her. These villagers claim that they should blame Cami for what happened to them for not doing what she did sooner thus she would never been able to come into contact with Page and Crater as she did. Basically not taking away that she saved them but placing more of the blame for what happened to the two kids on her directly at least.

It was these same villagers were also the only ones who were against the roboticization of Page and Crater as a means to fix them as well. Wondering why they need to be roboticization when they have not gone through all or even any of the means to try to restore them in a manner that leaves them as humans.

Of course, these two actions caused everyone else in the village to look at them as they all once had Page. The one leading the charge in this was Crater's mom, who began questioning if they were truly members of this village themselves. She claimed that Page had proved that she was beyond a shadow of a doubt with her discovery of the Southern Guardian and that her claims ended up being the truth or along the lines of it.

Leading to them being convinced that they were wrong and joining the majority of the village in siding with what Cami wanted to do and the narrative that she was not to blame as much for what happened. That or they were deemed not worthy of being considered a member of this village anymore and thus promptly kicked out and left to fend for themselves. In the wilderness, they all of sudden seem to view them as a threat to be taken care of.

None of this would be brought up by Cami, Crater's mom, and/or any of the remaining villagers either. Even Page herself would not be thinking about them more than 'Oh they are not here anymore' and move on no longer caring about that issue.
