"I bet that you can't wait to spread your legs for him! And leave us all behind!" Julian's words were sharp and precise which greatly disturbed Vivienne's composure.
*Boom*
"Julian! Shut up and go to your room. The both of you!" Thalion's tone was cold and harsh as his aura filled the room making it difficult to breathe let alone stand. "I will not tolerate this kind of behavior. The two of you are siblings for fucks sake!"
Julian's body was bathed in sweat as he found it difficult to stand and crashed into his seat while Vivienne remained unfazed alongside Narandial. "What is wrong with you!" For so long I've always tried to help to the best if my abilities and what did I ever get from you!"
"Nothing but a cesspool of blames, ignorance and contentment all together. Not only in this life but the last as well and for the first time, I met someone who didn't judge me in such a discouraging way. He have me the world in my hands and it was meant to help you but what did you do?"
"Once again away you went with your resentment once more. I'm sick and tired of this act. Not only us it sickening but also tiring to say the least and I'm fed up with it."
Vivienne who had always been calm and collected was now on the verge of tears as her golden eyes were locked with Julian's. "So I'll just go somewhere where I'm appreciated rather than stay here. You can play happy family all you want but I'm leaving."
"They were never our actual parents and you're trapped inside your own world to see it!" Narandial's heart was torn as she heard this with her mind in a storm of emotions. She had never thought that one if her own would resent her in such a way.
Vivienne knew that the two wanted questions but she wasn't planning on staying there any longer and in a flash, her figure disappeared from their eyes.
*Whoosh*
Julian's was blinded by all kinds of emotions. Be it guilt, anger or pity, he felt them all. "Go to your room! Now!" Defeated, he could only heed the words of his parents as his figure left the room leaving the two brimming with thoughts galore.
They were wondering what Vivienne meant by last life and all that but they still had Julian to help them fill the blanks. "I never thought that there would be a day I'd see Vivienne lose her composure like that."
Thalion murmured whereas Narandial was torn apart. Her eyes displayed disbelief as she fell onto the seat, looking at her palms before clenching them hard. "My own daughter doesn't see me as her own mother. I carried her for nine months in my own womb.
Her mind couldn't piece what she meant but it definitely left a big impact in her mental state. Thalion came beside her with his arms wrapping around him, reassuring her with comforting words.
"She's was simply blinded by rage. She's a smart and reasonable person and she'll be able to see her own faults and come around." Narandial however seemed lost in her own mind as Thalion's words flew past her.
"But why..." A faint murmur escaped her lips before letting her palms go. She couldn't understand why she would say the words she chose to say. It was clear that there was more to this and she wanted the truth.
Charging straight to Julian's room, her mind was bent on knowing what was going on but much to her surprise similar to Thalion's, the room was completely empty. Her breathes became heavy, her mind refusing to accept what she saw as she fell to her knees while Thalion looked around.
What bothered him was that he failed to sense his traces. 'He never went to his room to begin with but how was he able to escape the manor undetected?'. He shifted his attention towards his wife who was softly sobbing.
As he made his way back, he noticed a piece of paper that was behind the door, upon picking it up, he concluded that it was a letter and upon completion, his face was sour.
Narandial took it and her tears started to flow endlessly after she read the contents. It entailed everything that they needed to know.
'Thalion and Narandial. We are not your children but mascarading as them and we are not of this world. Your children are long dead which I'm sure is a burden to hear. I will be taking my leave as well.'
It wasn't long but certainly brief. The message was bizzare but the more Thalion looked into it, the more sense it made.
The two had overnight changed their personalities and demeanors completely which was odd at first but given that it helped with their progress, he didn't mind that much.
But hearing that they were of another world and we're pretending to be their children was something they hadn't expected. The concepts of other worlds existing was something they knew very little of but now, they couldn't ask questions about it.
And just like that, the two children of the Caldwell family had left the premises. One in search of a person even they feared while the other was probably giving chase but in both circumstances, they were left helpless to intervene.
...
"My Queen, I have an important message to relay." Azriel, the queen's advisor mused as he knelt within her office. Sylarana seemed uninterested with his presence as she shuffled through the documents in her hands.
"What is it?" She asked without giving a glance at the man on his knees. "My Queen, we have found a contestant worthy of a recommendation."
"Is that so? What makes that contestant so special for a recommendation?" She posed, her tone showcasing the attention she had in the conversation which was passive. "The contestant goes by the name of Vivienne Caldwell."
"She was able to hunt down a tier five corrupted beast but what makes her stand out is that she lacks a mana disc core." Sylarana paused her movements and looked at Azriel. "How so? Did she use an artifact or something of the sort?"
There were other contestants from other divisions that has slain a tier five beast but the numbers were extremely few. A feat when properly equipped and with quick wits doesn't pose that much of a threat.
But the problem with this case is that the one who had done this lacked a mana disc core. "It would seem that she has control over an element that we have yet to deduce but it allows her to manipulate the space around her allowing her to traverse distances easily."
"Not only that, she is able to change the gravitational force around her making her extremely potent when it comes to close quarters combat." Sylarana was intrigued as she heard this. The concept of artifacts allowing one to traverse through space was unheard of.
Not to mention a person doing it so freely. "Have her by the time I get back." Azriel hesitated for a bit hinting that something was wrong. "What is it?" Her tone slightly irritated.
"The problem is that she refused to proceed with the Sphin trials and her current whereabouts are unknown. The only thing that we have to indicate her location was that she seemed to be heading towards Sablestone." Sylarana squinted her eyes as she looked at the man on his knees.
'What? Why would she need to go there?' Her mind was lost in thought. "She claimed that she wanted to gain contact with Rhys who would help her with her ability as Thalion mentioned that it was gifted to her by Rhys.
"Rhys? Very well. You may take your leave." Dismissing Azriel, she leaned back into her chair. 'What connection does Vivienne have with Rhys? How did the two even meet to begin with?' Numerous questions plagued her mind and answers were what she was lacking.
'Sablestone, this meeting will certainly be interesting.' She mused as she got out of her chair.
...
"I didn't think that you would accept." Arabella gleamed as she along with Lirien glanced at the visitor that she had. "I want answers." Vivienne mused as her figure was cloaked with a black slime which was similar to the other pair however her design was different.
Arabella's design was completely black whereas Lirien's had traces of white lines running through it but her's had a hint of gold to the blackness which made it stand out significantly in comparison to the two.
Vivienne was baffled when she saw all the modern technology with a bit extra which made her realize what Arabella meant. "Given that you'll be one of the representatives, we might as well introduce ourselves."
"My name is Arabella and this is Lirien." The two already knew who she was thus there was no need for her to bring it up. "I sense all kinds of weird movement all over the dome and outside as well." She pointed out which amazed the two.
"You're able to sense outside of the dome? That's impressive!" Arabella complimented as Lirien took in what Vivienne had to offer. "But a small problem presents itself. You don't have a mana disc core." Lirien pointed out as she presented a tier one mana disc core to Vivienne.
"I can't whether I want to or not." She mused as she returned the mana disc core back to Lirien. "By the way, I've been wondering, what is the relationship between you and Andrew?"
Arabella mused as she tried to gauge Vivienne's reaction. "It's complicated." Her answer but it wasn't what Arabella wanted. "It's perfectly fine to say that the two of you were in a relationship given how passive and uninterested you're trying to come off about the topic."
Arabella's smile beamed as she reveling with Vivienne's past. "Can you stop being so nosy?" Lirien shot back as she gave a slight bump on Arabella's head making her exclaim. "I know you're interested too Lirien so stop acting so callous about it."
Vivienne found this interaction rather amusing especially how adorable Arabella came off as. "I guess you could say that I was his lover." Not just Arabella but also Lirien was interested with this statement.
The three were waiting in the hub when Ophelia walked in. "Miss Vivienne, Andrew is waiting for you at the island." She hummed softly as she extended her arm towards her.
'Island?' A thought crossed her mind as she accepted Ophelia's hand and the two flashed away from the pairs line of sight. "See, I told you that they were lovers!" Arabella gleamed in her victory. "But what about Ashley? It seems that there is more to this than we thought."
"So you are interested." Lirien gave a defeated sigh as she threw a pillow towards Arabella's face. "Shut up and play the game." Two controllers popped up and the two resumed with their game.
...
The sight of a lavish and grand villa was presented before Vivienne to which she noted how modern and chic it looked. It was a far cry to what she was used to making her wonder whether she was still in the same world.
"Please follow me." Renarion mused to which she was led into the villa as her eyes took in the sight. She had never thought that she would see such structures ever again ever since she arrived in this world.
She was led underground by Renarion and in front of her, numerous sport cars were present with one of them standing out given how it was parked. A Bugatti Bolide to which the bonnet of it was raised and getting closer, a familiar figure came into her eyes.
*Thud*
The bonnet was closed which made Andrew's presence more visible to Vivienne who froze in place. "That will be all."
*Whoosh*
Renarion left the scene leaving the two alone in the underground show exhibit. "Vivienne or should I say Yvette, it's been a while." A small smile formed on his face. Multiple thoughts ran through her mind as he saw him.
"Want to go out for a drive?" He posed as he gestured for her to get in the car but her mind seemed absent and before she knew it, he was standing right in front of her. His jade green eyes piercing through her golden eyes.
