While Rufus was busy bemoaning his fate, as he couldn't humiliate and make Grace beg to return back to him, Grace had arrived at her destination.
She stood outside the head teacher's office, her hand hovering over the doorknob.
Taking a deep breath, she straightened her blouse, steeled herself and lightly knocked on the door.
"Come in," a voice called from inside.
Grace pushed the door open and stepped into the office, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on the head teacher sitting behind her desk, reviewing some papers.
"Good day Mrs McCarthy," Grace greeted with a polite smile.
"Ah, Come in Ms, Fowler, the head teacher said looking up from her work.
Grace stepped forward, her hand clasped in front of her.
"How may I help you, Ms Fowler?" Mrs McCarthy asked with a warm smile on her face.
She had gotten the report about Grace's performance within the short time she had been here, from Faye of course and had been pleased without doubt.
