"That wasn't a bite," Sky Moore said very seriously to her, "I was kissing you."
Lily Smith's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at him.
"I really like you, so I wanted to kiss you," Sky continued earnestly.
Lily blinked rapidly, overwhelmed by the sincerity in Sky's gaze, and for some reason, she felt a bit shy.
It was her first time being so earnestly told someone liked her; not even her mother had looked at her so seriously to say those words...
Lily's face turned slightly red. It was hard for anyone to keep a straight face when shown affection, and she turned around to hand over a large strawberry she had brought as a peace offering to Sky, almost as big as her little hand, "Here, eat this."
Lily loved strawberries the most. Sharing her favorite food meant she had accepted him.
