Chapter 4
"What's wrong with Lena?" Ryan Gregory asked urgently.
Sofia Hamilton hesitated for a few seconds but decided to tell him.
After all, he was the child's father.
"The teacher said she had a stomachache and sent her to the hospital. I'm not clear about the situation yet."
"I'll go with you."
As he spoke, he pulled out his phone, his expression tense, and said, "Bring the car here within five minutes!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than the car arrived at his side, much faster than expected.
Sofia had no idea how the driver managed it.
Maybe he'd been lurking somewhere nearby, to respond this quickly.
The driver hurriedly ran out and opened the door respectfully.
Once they were in the car, Ryan started calling the hospital.
Within just a few minutes, he'd learned everything there was to know about why Lena had been hospitalized.
