Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Introduction

Deus answered the administration in a doubtful tone. "I am dead and you ask me to believe that you are some kind of god who brings the dead back to life, huh?" He couldn't believe his words.

"I know it's a complicated statement to believe, but… It's the truth." replied the administrator.

The two debated a little before Deus resigned.

"It's fine. I agree with you."

Deus held his head in exasperation.

It wasn't like he had a choice. He had died in a road accident, reappeared in the middle of nowhere in a clean room and met an old bearded man who claimed to be an agent of God.

Anyone who disagreed was not a sensible human.

Outwardly, the man had a calm Deus in front of him. However, he tended to be silent when in conflict, creating a quiet atmosphere.

Seeing that Deus was calm, the administrator smiled. " I am pleasantly surprised by your behaviour. Most of them would have been lying on the ground shouting that they were still alive.

Deus did not reply.

It was not that he did not want to answer, but that he understood as a modern man that this was not something surprising.

Unlike medieval worlds or supernatural worlds, the earthlings had acquired knowledge that allowed them to be resistant to these situations.

World culture had reached a point where humans were saturated with fantasy themes like regression, reincarnation or incarnation. So Deus wasn't surprised and was prepared.

But from the administrator's point of view, Deus was depicted as a brave man who had accepted death.

Unfortunately, the powers given to the agents of the gods were limited. The administrator was not authorized to check the reborn memories. If he could read Deus's thoughts, he would have cried.

Continuing the misunderstanding, the administrator smiles. "A curious human." With a laugh, the man named administrator rose from his chair and approached him. When he was one meter away, a miniature universe was revealed like a parchment.

Several worlds were spinning like stars with no purpose. He could see huge black circles illuminated by rings. "Black holes."

Misty clouds of water have crossed entire galaxies, bringing both disaster and opportunity. When some planets were destroyed, others were born in another part of the universe.

It was an endless cycle between destruction and creation. A perfect loop caused by the universe itself. An immaterial concept.

Unconsciously, Deus tried to touch a planet, but the hand touched the void.

"Among these worlds is yours." The administrator raised his finger, pointing to three planets.

"I have to choose ?"

"Sure. It's a golden opportunity, choose carefully."

The administrator swung his arm sideways and windows appeared above the planets.

===

Planet Osiris

A planet filled with human life, living both strange man-eating plants and terrible insects. It offers sensation and an unforgettable life.

The gods are lenient towards the heroes who are incarnate.

===

Planet Zura

A strange planet that has managed to create dangerous species. Each beast contains harmful effects towards man.

All those who entered never returned. To return means remaining.

===

Planet Orion

A normal planet with countless intelligent species. Although wars arise for futile interests, life is good, allowing civilization to develop rapidly.

Heroes are feared and powerful but also respected. The reputation of the gods on this planet is highly esteemed.

Deus analyzed the brief descriptions of each option. Among those presented, the first was disgusting, almost like a movie. Man-eaters and carnivorous plants. It would be missing more than giant spiders exist and it would commit suicide.

He felt that getting into it would leave him with a trauma. He ruled out the first option.

The second option was even worse. Species coming out of science fiction. If the first was disgusting, the first was a horror film.

He finally had only the last choice, which seems to be the ordinary one. There were even intelligent species, apart from humans. In his head, he could imagine elves with long ears and sensual curves, as well as men-beasts with soft tails...

Coughing, Deus came to his senses, while the administrator stared at him.

He quickly made his choice.

"Good third. A good option with an environment."

"As a future hero, you will need to have statistics that track your status."

The administrator makes a window manifest and features unfolded.

"You have 180 points. You must choose which characteristics to distribute."

Strength (0/100)

Agility (0/100)

Endurance (0/100)

Intelligence (0/100)

Chance (0/100)

Diplomacy (0/100)

Deus found himself in his thoughts. There were 6 stats and 180 points. He could spread them evenly with 30 points each, but that would not be an advantage.

"Ordinary humans all have statistics of 10 points on average. The other specialized races even had stats above 20 points."

He remembered what the administrator had said.

Although it gave him three times more strength than the average human, the other races were as powerful as he was. If he chose the normal route, he would not emerge from other heroes.

He had to choose wisely.

While clicking on the statistics, one question remained in his mind.

"I'm going to be reincarnated as a human, aren't I?"

"Of course! As long as you don't have any problems on the journey, you will remain human."

Deus nodded his head, repressing his bad feeling, before finishing his statistics.

Force (10/100)

Agilité (10/100)

Endurance (10/100)

Intelligence (70/100)

Chance (30/100)

Diplomatie (30/100)

The administrator checked his statistics and was surprised. "Are you sure about your choice? It's rather... unusual."

Deus shook his head firmly.

He had planned to take the role of "tactical hero". After all, there are all kinds of unique and useful heroes that came out of the usual clichés.

When the administrator finally nodded thoughtfully, he swung his palm of hands a portal was created.

"Get in and you'll be born again as a hero."

After that, he entered without hesitation and his consciousness flew away.

When the administrator saw Deus disappear, he sighed with sadness. He felt a bit guilty for having sent a soul into this world.

After all, a great war was soon to break out. The presence of heroes was indispensable.

"Well... I have to welcome the next hero-"

What?

The administrator's eyes were amazed.

What is it?

***

Among the shooting stars that descended on different worlds. Several of them shone with an incommensurable brightness.

However, where light shines, darkness is always present.

Various shadows traveled hundreds of light-years in a few seconds, catching up with the new heroes and destroying them as they descended.

Faced with this unexpected interception, the administrators quickly deployed a flying umbrella.

Some resisted, others were destroyed.

Deus was one of them, fainting, his soul fell in a small village, instead of a temple.
