Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Golden Diffraction Technique

York College High School of Science and Technology, New York, USA.

This school isn't very well-known in this super-large American city, covering an area of about 1214.4 square kilometers, and there are no celebrities too numerous to count.

Feeney chose to attend this school simply because it's the closest to home and has the best facilities.

"Oh, it seems there's only one year left..." Finny murmured softly, a hint of worry on his brows as he stepped on the soft green lawn, ready to take a shortcut to the school gate.

"Ah!"

Gazing at the crowd at the school gate, Feeney couldn't help but let out another long sigh. In another year, the world will start undergoing earth-shaking changes on the bright side, beyond the vast majority of people's imagination.

"I'll say it one last time, I don't want to go out to drink with you, and please don't bother me here, okay?" At this moment, a familiar voice with suppressed anger entered Finny's ears. He turned his head and found a tall and strong man, along with a group of people, pestering a beautiful girl not far from the door.

The girl had long flaxen hair, delicate facial features, a high nose bridge, and a pair of amber eyes filled with impatience.

Seeing the girl, Finny's face changed, and he quickly walked over, pushing the tall and strong man away. He stood in front of the girl and asked in a deep voice, "Brian, what do you want to do?"

Carson Brian, the captain of the school's basketball team, seemed to possess good looks and basketball skills. He was also a popular figure in the school, so although Finny wasn't familiar with him, he at least knew him.

"Phinney Helsaces!?" The tall and strong man who stood still was taken aback when he saw Finny. Then, with a playful smile, he said, "Hey, Helseth, this is none of your business. I just want to get to know the young lady behind you."

"Phinny!"

The girl, who was entangled, yelled in surprise from behind Finny, indicating that the two must know each other.

"She's my older sister, are you saying it's none of my business!?" Feeney replied coldly. Although Carson was much stronger than him in terms of height and muscle, Finny wasn't afraid at all.

"Your sister!?" Carson was taken aback for a moment, as if he didn't expect this to happen, and his face turned a little embarrassed. The teammates around him didn't expect it either, and by now, there were already many students watching the spectacle.

Looking at Finny's cold gaze, Carson couldn't help but take a step back. He noticed his companions' surprised eyes and felt a little embarrassed. Then he stepped forward and said arrogantly, "I didn't know she was your sister. Besides, I just want to invite her out for a drink."

"Then are you deaf? She has already refused." Finney looked straight at Carson without fear. Although he never wanted to cause trouble, he hadn't reached the level of being bullied and remaining silent.

"Finny, forget it, let's go." The girl pulled Finny's clothes and, seeing more and more people gathering, obviously didn't want to escalate the situation.

"Be careful. I think you will definitely fall when you walk like this." Not wanting to create a scene in front of so many people, Finny warned Carson with a serious expression. He said a word without a sound and finally turned around to pull the girl out of the crowd.

Behind the two of them, Carson was stunned when he heard Finny's words. As he turned around and walked towards his teammates, he asked, "What did he mean..." Before he could finish speaking, his left foot stumbled. His right foot hit the ground heavily, causing his lip to break and bleed profusely. Although the injury wasn't serious, it looked miserable.

Suddenly, everyone around was startled, and several girls even screamed. Being pulled by Finny, the girl who turned around when she heard the sound also saw the accident.

The two approached a car. The girl's big amber eyes were full of curiosity as she stared at Finny and asked, "What happened to that man just now?"

"Murphy's Law, things that can go wrong will always go wrong, and if you are worried about something happening, then it is more likely to happen." Finny shrugged and humorously explained.

"Shit!" The girl said disdainfully, "Phinny, even though I didn't go to college and my grades are not as good as yours, that doesn't mean I'm as easy to deceive as a fool. Tch." She curled her lips, showing her anger. She reached out and grabbed Finny's ear, threatening, "Will you tell me or not? Be careful, I will tell your parents about your drinking."

"Okay, okay, you go first. Let go." Feeney hurriedly begged for mercy helplessly. Then he muttered in a low voice, "I threaten you with this every time. If you didn't want to drink that thing and forced me to accompany you, would I be able to drink it!?"

For this sister, Finny was really helpless. If he knew this, he should have chosen a younger sister in the first place.

Of course, Carson's situation just now was not caused by Murphy's Law; it was one of the abilities he acquired after coming to this world.

Feeney wasn't originally from this world. As for how he came to this world, he didn't know. He only knew that when he woke up, he had become a child who could only cry and couldn't even speak.

Fortunately, when he crossed over, he wasn't considered naked. Just after crossing, he found that he was carrying a powerful system that could extract various skills from various anime.

'Golden Great Expansion Technique,' this was the first time Finny had used the system to extract the skill. It could be said to be very, very, very powerful. It was so powerful that it was not an exaggeration to say it three times. However, it was a pity that he still couldn't fully unleash the power of this skill until now.

"Golden Great Expansion Technique"

"From: Catalog of Forbidden Books of Magic"

"Introduction: Magic that changes reality according to one's own ideas"

This could be considered the simplest summary of this ability. When Finny first extracted this ability, the excitement in his heart could hardly be described in words. He howled all night, fantasizing about all kinds of beautiful futures. This also caused his parents to have big dark circles the next day.

But when Finny calmed down, he realized that things weren't that simple. He found that this ability didn't work as he expected. He thought in his mind that he would grow up directly, but after thinking about it for an hour, he didn't see any changes. Maybe there were changes, but he didn't notice them.

At this time, he hurriedly studied the system again and discovered that the system was only responsible for extracting skills. The use of skills still depended on individual circumstances.

So, the reason he couldn't fully utilize the skills lay in himself.

The feeling of falling from heaven to the world was nothing compared to when Finny first discovered this situation. The reason he didn't fall into hell was that he knew that although he couldn't use the skill now, there must be a way in the future.

After realizing that the skills weren't working, Finny temporarily put the 'Golden Diffraction Technique' aside and began to study this so-called extraction system, which he named based on the system's functions.

After all, the function of the whole system was very simple. Except for one draw, there was only one experience slot that seemed empty. Before the draw, it had been full.

Obviously, the next draw must wait for it to be fully recovered. Afterward, he studied many methods, but it seemed there was no way for him to grow except for a trace of natural growth experience.

Until that accident.

Mengxin is on the road, hoping for plenty of support. Please remember, the boss never wears a vest, so come and love Mengxin on the street!
