In another part of the world, far from the Holy City's cold walls, the Demon Daughter drifted like smoke through the night, her form shifting and curling through the wind. Within her dark, swirling mass, she carried what remained of a man—Dona's torso.
He was frail, his body barely more than a husk, but the embers of life still flickered within him. His limbs had long been severed, lost when Manu Madayaki had cut them away. And now, like a relic of war, he was being transported across lands where no human should have been able to pass.
Yet, there was no resistance.
No guards. No holy warriors blocking her path. The vast lands of the Holy City stretched endlessly behind her, and not a single force rose to stop her escape.
As if... the gods themselves had chosen to look the other way.
She moved with purpose, her gas-like form slithering across the skies and through unseen cracks in the world, until at last, she arrived at her destination:
