Nathalie and Zavid left Ideni before sunset. It would take them a night at most to reach Aranill, just in time to help Aylin handle the monster. Moreover, with Nathalie around, nothing would happen to them on the way, and Zavid himself was pretty capable.
Azimir was not that worried about them. Instead, he focused on Gavin and Nemaan, who needed his immediate attention. He did not know, but his intuition told him Nemaan would visit Gavin that night. So, he made preparations, waiting for the time to pass quickly.
Azimir was calm. He did not falter even once as he ate his dinner with relish. Since he had a monster to kill, he had to conserve his energy well.
