Shanay POV
Luke and I spent the entire day in the kitchen. He asked me why we were making so much of food and I didnt say anything to him. I wanted him to be surprised. Luke needs some happiness and his parents are his life(mostly his mother, he's a momma's boy)
At around 5 my parents arrived and he was so hungry. As soon as we all sat down at the table he wanted to start eating. I shouted and him and told him that we should all talk for some time before we eat.
"But babe I'm hungry, you haven't let me have anything since this morning."
"Oh come on, you're lying. You ate something about 20 minutes ago. It's just because you see all of this nice food."
About 30 minutes later the doorbell rang and I got up in excitement. I rushed to the front door before he could. I opened the door and I told them to keep quiet. I gave them both hugs and I lead them to the dining room. I walked in first and I spoke.
"So Luke, I have something for you, your parents are here."
I could see that he wanted to cry because he hadn't seen them in such a long time.
"Surprise!!!" They both shouted as they popped up from behind the wall.
He gave them both hugs and we all sat down at the dinner table. We all spoke about how it's been not living with them and they told us about how quiet it is in the house without us there. When I brought the dessert put I sat down and this was the moment I was about to break it to them.
"Umm, guys, I have something to tell you all." I said to them with a little bit of a studder.
"Oh my gosh, your pregnant!" My mom screamed and got out of her seat. She was in shock but she was happy.
"Oh no I'm not pregnant. Luke and I...are getting married." I said in a low voice and the entire room went silent.
The next thing I know, Luke's mother gets up and walks towards me. She gave me a hug.
"Welcome to the family daughter-in-law." She said to me with a big smile on her face. She walked up to Luke and gave him a hug also.
"So when is the wedding?" My mother asked me.
"We dont actually know when we want to get married. We want things to cool down first before we plan the wedding."
"I know of a very good wedding planner so when you know when you are getting married just tell me and we can go to him." Luke's mother said to me.
"Thank you so much. This really means alot to us."

A few weeks later

It's been two weeks now that I've been going to college and it's nice but there are a few people who act as if they are better than everyone. This reminds me so much of high school. There is this one girl here who lives down the hall from Luke and I.She is nice but she has a punch me face. She is from here but I've never seen her before. The other day she asked me if I liked her and I just avoided her question. I dont really feel like talking to her but i do for some reason. My friends dont like her and Melissa keeps giving her dead stars. Her name is Emma. There is something wrong about her, it's just her personality or something that puts it all of and makes me think that. She isnt a normal girl because she says that she has had a lot of difficult times in her past but there is something that she is keeping away from everyone.
Maybe she isnt 19 and shes older. Or maybe shes a serial killer who has been watching me for many months. No Shanay, you are over exaggerating now, you watch too many of those thriller movies. But I know for sure that something isnt right about her.
I told Luke about her and he doesnt like her although he hasnt even met her before. He is interested in the whole situation but he doesnt wanna get involved.
Melissa and I are going to get to the bottom of it. Anyways we have 2 weeks until John's birthday. One of the surprises that we have for him is his girlfriend Melissa is coming to town to surprise him. He hasnt seen her in 6 months so Luke and I called her and she said that she wouldn't miss it for the world.
His girlfriend is the sweetest person alive and I wonder how their paths crossed because they have two completely different personalities. But as time went on John started changing his habits.
So, back to Emma. This girl doesnt seem to be normal. She told us that shes from California but that's not the thing that makes me wonder. But its girls like her that I dont like because she thinks that shes better than everyone. I want to find out her motive behind moving to Los Angeles. It must be something juicy like she killed her boyfriend or she is a ex convict. You never know in today's world because people aren't who they say they are. You end up trusting the wrong people and they turn around and stab you in the back. I try my best to stay away from people like that because when you look at them you can tell that they are bad news.

So I got home and Luke was asleep so I went into the room and gave him a kiss. As soon as my lips touched his he immediately woke up and look at me with those loving eyes.
"Well good morning mister. Aren't you home earlier than normal?"
"Yes babe, well I took the afternoon off to surprise you because we hardly see each other anymore since we both started college. Babe I miss you."
"I miss you too."
