LUKE POV
About three days ago, Shanay had found out that she is pregnant. I am so happy that we can finally start our family. I always knew that we would eventually get married, but i never thought that it would be so soon. I can't wait until the day that we can finally tell everyone. I even know the right thing that we can do in order to break the news to everyone. This will be the best surprise for everyone.
Shanay and I are going to the court today to get married. When we have enough money to afford a big wedding then we will have it. We both got ready, when we were done we left the house and went to the court. It was kind of a long drive.
SHANAY POV
All I could think about was Luke's baby inside of my stomach. I couldnt keep my hand away from my stomach.
Thinking about all of this made me feel butterflies. Was this a sign of happiness? Was this the baby telling me that we would make the best family and no matter what, we will stick together throughout everything that happens in our lives.
I didnt even notice that Luke was talking to me. It was only when I heard him call my name a second time that I knew that he was talking to me.
"Did you even hear a single word that i just said?" He asked me.
"No, I'm sorry...can you tell me what you said again. I just lost track thinking about our baby." I said to him.
"It hasn't even been a month and you are already obsessing over her. Anyways, I said that now we will finally be married and people won't have to say anything bad to our child because her parents weren't married before they conceived her. Imagine how she would feel."
"Are you still going on about having a daughter? You do know that girls become divas as they grow up?" I said to him.
"She will always remain daddy's little angel. She will never grow up in my eyes. It will be the best Daddy Daughter duo." He said to me, i could see in his eyes that this made him so happy.
"And what about me, you will forget about me once she is born, that is even if we are having a daughter."
"You will always come first in my life, but she will be my princess."
Not long after that we arrived at our destination. There weren't many people there. We didn't wait for a long time.
*30 Minutes Later*
It was our turn to go in, my hands were so sweaty. This moment is really here. I wouldn't have done this for anyone else.
We went in and it started. This was a little long though.
"Do you, Shanay, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The man said to me.
"I do."
"And do you, Luke, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do." He said.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."
I cannot belive that we are married. Why does this kiss feel different? Maybe its all in my head. We pulled away and the priest congratulated us. We left and went to have lunch.
"So my lovely wife, how does it feel to be Mrs. Shanay Grayson?" When he said it, it all felt weird because i still need to process it. I will take some time.
"I still can't wrap my head around it. But I love it." I smiled at him.
We got to the restaurant and had our lunch. The entire time that we were there he couldn't stop staring at me.
"What?" I looked at him with a confused face.
"Im just admiring your beauty."
"You're so cheesy."
"Only for you." He smiled at me.
Our food arrived and we started eating. I felt sick so i wouldn't finish all my food.
*1 hour later*
I just sit in bed thinking about everything. We told all our friends about the whole getting married yet and they said that we need to celebrate. Luke said that I don't need to worry about anything and that he would get everything for later on. Everyone will be here at 6.
He came upstairs and I was brought out of my thoughts.
"What's on your mind?"
"Just thinking about what we're going to tell our friends when they ask why we didn't have a grand wedding."
"Just tell them that when we graduate college, we will have a big wedding, today was just to say that we want to get married now or something like that."
"I'll think of something better than that." I laughed and he went back downstairs.
I went to my closet and got out a nice outfit for today, not too casual but also not too formal. I layed it on the bed and went into the bathroom to take a shower. When I got out I put on a maroon romper with sparkles on it. I just admired how I looked in it. This was something i bought a year ago but never ended up using it. I forgot about it because I never found a reason to wear it. It was better that my tummy wasn't visible yet. I just put my hand on it and thought about our child. This will be the vest thing that has ever happened to us.
Luke came back home because he had to go out and get some alcohol. Shit, I didn't think about this part. He had to get drinks and I cant have alcohol while I'm pregnant. I quickly grabbed my phone and googled what woman can drink while they are pregnant. I saw an article that said that drinking wine every once in a while is acceptable.
I went downstairs and snuck up on Luke. I put my arms around his waist and rested the side of my face on his back.
"Hey, what's this all about?"
"You went out for drink huh?"
"Yeah, is there something wrong?" He turned around and looked at me.
"Did you think about what I will have?" I put my hand on my hips.
"Oh shit. That totally slipped my mind. Okay ill go out and get some orange juice for you."
"No, wait, I saw this article that said that one glass of wine every once in a while is okay while you are pregnant."
"So do you want me to go out and get some wine for you?"
"Yes please." I made my puppy dog face.
"Everytime Shanay, do do this everytime. You know I cant resist that adorable face of yours."
He get his keys and left. I just set set the snacks and made everything look nice.
I heard the doorbell ring and knew right away that it definitely wasn't Luke. I went to the door and opened it.
"I didnt expect you to be the first person, do you know that?" I laughed.
"I just had to be here first to celebrate with my best friend." Michael said to me.
He walked in and handed me a gift.
"This is for you, Melissa couldnt make it because she had a date tonight so she gave this on her behalf. But look at you, your a new person. Congratulations."
"Thank you so much Michael."
"Do I see you glowing?"
"No c'mon, I just got married today, I'm just really happy."
"Mmm, okay."
"Babe, I'm back." Luke came in and set his keys on the table.
"Well, isn't it the one and only Luke Grayson."
"Michael, Michael, Michael. You're here early." He had a shocked look on his face.
"I just had to come and see the newly wedded couple. You two had been dating for so long, it feels like yesterday that you two met."
