Welp, I present my new chapter the Forest!.
Ok, let's start!
______________________________
The villager's Hunters have come to the said forest looking to find food for their family and the village they live in.
As they go deeper into the forest, they soon stumbled upon a problem that there are no big wild animals around for the village to stacked upon or eat in the upcoming winter in a month or two.
As they kept on walking while keenly looking at their surroundings, searching for any signs of large wild animals roaming around the area.
The Head Hunter of the village walked at the front while the others are spread around the back, to not clamp to each other when an ambush ever does happen like the last time they went on a hunting an ambush happened then some started to panic and others clamp on each other for safety.
"The only animals we have found so far are rabbits and a few squirrels from time to time." Said the Head Hunter to the group while walking, thus getting their attention.
They have been walking through the forest for a few hours now. Only to find small wild animals, they haven't found a single Deer, boar, fox, bear, or even a sitting of a tiger in the time they have been searching.
From all the years the Head Hunter have been hunting in the Forest, this has never happened before. There should be signs or tracks of large animals roaming around their territory, but there have been 'none' so far.
They have also visited the usual spots in the forest where large animals usually go to but even then, all of their efforts have been fruitless as there are no signs of wild animals being around the place for quite some time.
The air of uneasiness and gloominess Dawn upon the group as they kept on walking through the forest.
The Head Hunter could feel that the morale is starting to plummet even without looking behind him, as he could distinguish the normal silence from the gloomy silence happening right now.
The leading man of the hunt suddenly stopped on his track and looked at the group that he is leading.
"Don't worry, the Goddess of the hunt will bless use with plentiful of Hunt's later on, I'm sure of it... We only need to be patient, and do remember we are Hunters right now." Said the head Hunter to the group, with a smile and an encouraging tone.
The gloominess of the group lessened as they hear the words of encouragement from the Head Hunter.
Some spoke up and agreed to the Head Hunters' words of encouragement.
"Ye, Kalas(the Head Hunter) is right, all we have to do is just be more patient."
"I second that."
"Yes, the Goddess of Hunt's will bless us soon enough."
"We just gotta be patient and will get our game soon."
.
.
.
Soon after their interactions, they again started their hunt and went deeper into the forest.
.
.
.
After their hours of walking into the Forest,
They noticed that it is getting darker as they see the sun disappears into the tree lines of the Forest, they then start their search for a good area to set up a camp.
They then found an opening area where there aren't many trees that blocks their view of their surroundings.
They then started to prepare to set up the camp and other necessities needed.
They then established a rotation of three people to watch over the camp while the others rest and be wake-up for their turn.
.
.
.
The three men on the watch are currently near the bonfire. The bonfire was positioned
a few meters away from where the group sleeps so as to not disturb the people sleeping while also having a better view over where the group is sleeping.
"*Sign*... When will we find a God damn deer!? Or any big animals around!?... Haaaa...
We've only found a few damn squirrels and rabbits here and there!." Said the man who is sitting on a log while looking at the lit bonfire in front of him.
"Just like the others said a few hours ago, we only need to be more patient... there's just nothing we could do right now but wait..." Replayed the other man who was standing near the bonfire while keenly looking at their surroundings.
"Ye, Bart's right on this one Lan, anyways, will have to wake the next batch on the watch in a few minutes." Said the other man who was laying down on the ground beside a log near the bonfire while looking at the clear night sky.
"Tsk, whatever... If we just got a good catch today then I wouldn't be complaining right now, now would I Renard?." Said Lan while looking at Renard.
"The Goddess of Hunt will undoubtedly bless us sooner or later, Lan." Replayed Renard nonchalantly while he kept on looking at the night sky.
"That's enough bickering you two, we still need to keep watch on the camp." Said, Bart while keeping his eyes on their surroundings.
"It's very quiet and what's gonna attack us anyways? We haven't even found any large wild animals around anyway..." Said, Lan.
"*Sign*... While that may be true, we still need to Keep watch, it's better to be cautious, after all, we're in the forest right now..." Replayed Bart while still keeping an eye on their surroundings.
"Ya know Bart, ya the only one who really keep on watch ya know?." Said Renard.
"The hell! Do you mean he's the only one keeping watch!?." Said Lan while glaring at Renard.
"Ohh come on, that's not true." Replayed Bart while giving a glance at Renard then looked at their surroundings again.
"Ya humble as always Bart, haha." Said Renard while letting out a light chuckle.
"Hey! You F*CK Stop ignoring me!." Said Lan while still glaring at Renard.
"Anyways we should get wake the next on the watch." Said Renard while ignoring Lan's insults.
"I'll get the-." But before Bart could finish his word's he ducked away, as he could feel his instinct telling him to do so.
*WOSH*
"GET THE OTHERS UP!." Shouted Bart to the other two, while barely dodging an arrow.
"F*CK!." Said Lan while he immediately ran to the tents where the others are sleeping.
Renard stood up while holding his now unsheathed sword up and getting ready for the unknown attacker that's still hidden in the shadows of the trees. And Bart now standing beside him while also holding his unsheathed sword that's ready for an incoming Battle.
*WOSH*
*WOSH*
*CLING*
*CLING*
Two arrows fired in the shadows of the trees while also being blocked as they reach their target.
"Damn, that arrow hit hard!." Said Renard while readying himself for another attack.
"They must have at least two archers somewhere on the left and the right side, but I could be wrong." Said Bart as he studied where the arrows came from.
Then a few figurines started to make an appearance within the shadows.
"Damn it, that's quite the number huh... Ren, you think you could hold for a few seconds 30 at best?." Said, Bart questioningly while keeping an eye on the approaching enemies.
"I think I wouldn't even last 10 if they're that many... What's taking them so long to wake up anyway!?." Replied Renard while frowning.
"They must be prepa-." Before he could finish his words he heard screams coming from behind them.
"AHHHHHHH!!"
"F*CK!!!"
"DIE!!!"
"AHHHHH!!"
Various screams were heard as they start to fight for their lives.
"Looks like we we're ambushed huh... They were waiting for use in the F*cking! shadows, f*ck!." Said Renard trying not to look away from the incoming enemies before him.
"How the hell did Goblins get that big!? And how did they suddenly appear here in the Forest!?." Said, Bart questioningly.
"Well, those questions won't be answered if we just keep talking here now do we?." Replied Renard while positioning himself properly to get a better swing from his sword.
"*Sign*... Let's just see... I'm no great swordsman but I'm a father, a father who has a family waiting for him Bach home!." Said, Bart loudly at the last part while tightening his hold on his sword, readying himself for the fight for his life.
.
.
.
.
(A few kilometers away from the fight)
.
.
.
.
"A perfect peaceful night with a clear night sky, Ruined by some fight. *Sign*... It's ok Rayvel the night is long ya could get a better place to rest..." I said while I keep jumping trees-to-trees.
`I'll test if my magic is working later when I find a better spot for testing magic.` I thought while I kept on jumping trees-to-trees also keeping an eye over my surroundings as an ambush could happen.
As I keep on jumping trees-to-trees I didn't even notice that I passed by a few covered Goblins below me as they also seem to not even know I passed over them.
After a few more minutes of jumping trees-to-trees, I spotted a somewhat better spot than the other one I've been to.
`That was faster than I thought. To think I'd find a new spot to stay by the night.` I thought while having a light amused smile on my face.
"Hehe, 'Fate' really works strangely sometimes, well whatever, just a better spot to spend my night for now..." I said as I make my way to the spot.
