Chapter 1 - The Woman

I opened my eyes and found myself laying in bed, as usual. Everything hurt, but that too wasn't out of the ordinary, i knew that soon my housekeeper Nessa would come and give me my medication. As usual the door to my room opened slightly and one of the only people who still stayed by my side these days came through, of course I knew that she would be gone as soon as I ran out of my parent's inheritance, but I still had some time until that day came. I expected her to say the usual "Is everything alright Sir Conrad? The activity monitor alerted me of your awakening." before she gave me my meds and went away. But this time it was different, although her lips started forming that familiar expression no sound came to my ears.

"Has my condition worsened to this point? Am I going deaf?" - I wondered.

When I tried speaking to the housekeeper my voice came out normally, almost too normally like it was separated from the reality I was seeing. Suddenly I heard loud footsteps in the hallway, these sounded like a kind of wooden sandals which was worn by people from ancient Japan, as these footsteps got closer they also got louder, almost like if the sound had been played from a megaphone or some kind of speaker, because I could hear them from all around me. Finally the owner of these footsteps showed herself in the doorway, it was a tall and beautiful blonde woman with jade eyes. She was wearing a kind of dress that wouldn't have looked out of place on a ancient Chinese princess. The robe was made of many flowing parts and intricate shapes showing a kind of tapestry of times I had not recognized, but her face,it looked kind of familiar like I have known her for quite some time, no it looked and felt like I would know her soon, although this realization came with some difficulty, once I saw it I could never forget It.

Who are you? - I asked her.

You won't know... probably. - She answered cryptically.

Suddenly she was standing right next to me, but it was not like she made a quick movement to get here, I could remember as she slowly walked toward my bed. It was like she skipped ahead in my memories, fast-forwarding the parts that took up too much time. Again in the same way she was holding my hand, and than, a wall of light and sound hit my consciousness.
