Narrators pov:
A man gets up disheveled hair and eye bags get out of his bed noticeably tired. we see him take a shower and get ready for the night shift at his local shells gas station in Dallas. We see him get out of his apartment and hop into his car the man we see is Milo Malone.
A mixed kid Latino/african American a kid with no future and a rough life, parents deceased dead when Milo was 17 Milo didn't want a legal gaurdian he was already about to be 18 so he legally emancipated to take care of him self he finished high school but didn't go to college and was depressed but still tried to be happy.
It's been 5 years since Milo's parents died Milo is 22 and we see him go to the shells and work a whole shift from 11pm to 7 am and we see Milo's pov
A clank and turn of a door knob and milo sees a messy apartment "I really should start cleaning around here and it stinks but I'm too tired to do anything" he thinks intern and sighs and goes in closing the door behind him Milo catches a sight that makes him realize something.
A portrait hanged on the wall a photo of him and his parents showing him being 12 years old happy and looking at the camera with his mom on the right and his dad on the left. A image that makes Milo sad and reminiscing about his parents and start thinking about them and also realizing he hasn't been going to the cemetery to talk with them
1 hour time skip
Milo's pov
I see my mothers grave Kayla Jimenez and my fathers grave Liam Malone they 36 and 39 and I tell them how I'm doing "hey mom and dad how are you guys I hope your doing nice I'm doing pretty good…well not really I'm working at a gas station I really know what to do with my life. I've been so stuck so alone" Milo's face started to turn more emotional the more he spoke "so alone after what happened to you guys I miss you I don't know why you have to leave me I don't what to do I miss you" Milo started to breakdown with emotion and all the pent up sadness he had.
He spoke more to his mother fathers graves talked about what happening and spoke to his father grave "hey pops the pacers are going to play right now I've been rooting for them their in the eastern conference finals against the knicks their going to start playing today I'm really they win and I know you will to" Milo started to try to make his time in cemetery mood to lighten a bit.
2 hours later
Milo went back to his apartment after speaking to his parents grave and took a nap till it 8 pm and woke up by an alarm he set to watch the game. Which milo wakes himself up to get ready to watch the game turns on the tv and starts watching the game
2 hours later
Milo sits in bed visibly frustrated angry and a mix of other emotions in his face go through his face at the same time. "Damn it!!!" Milo screams with anger "a loss oh my gosh why did this happen we were up by 12 in the third quarter" Milo said in frustration "Halliburton got 20 points but his teammates got to step up my goodness" Milo starts grabbing his head

"I'm hungry I guess I'll go get a late night snack after this loss" Milo gets up and starts to get ready to go to the nearby store to a snack.
Milo steps through the automatic doors and does pleasantries with the employee in cash registered and starts looking for a snack meanwhile and man with a grey hoodie on and black confronted pants comes into the store seconds after Milo starts looking for a snack he can get.
The grey hoodie man pulls out a gun robbing the the store, Milo looks up to the commotion and damns his luck "damn it just my luck the pacers lose now this" in a hushed up tone the criminal notice him and screams "give me everything you have man" Milo hesitation make the criminal walk up to him and try to tip off the gold necklace off Milo.
Milo fights back internally saying "you ain't going to steal the necklace that my mom gave me" the two start a scuffle mid fight Milo gets shot, the criminal runs away realizing what he has done leaving Milo on the floor holding the necklace his mother gave him tightly.
The cashier runs towards Milo body that's on the floor leaking blood. The cashier tells Milo to hang on but Milo feels light and dizzy and tired and feels like he can sleep and feels a intense pain and closes his eyes to see darkness.
Milo feels like he's been in the dark for forever until he opens his eyes to see his child hood bedroom and he stands up shocked. Not knowing what's happening, and in a dazed. Gets out the room already recognizing the house lay out to a bathroom to look at his face.
Milo realizes something in the reflection what looks back at him is him but different more defined check bones slightly defined but kinda soft jawline well defined eyebrows and and soft straight nose with a prominent chin.
Milo thinks "damn I'm hella cute like I don't remember like this" then Milo starts looking around in his saroundings bath sink mirror and toilet and then think sis I just get shot and die and this isn't my apartment. Milo thinks and then he hears a call out for his name that made his neck hairs tingle.
"Milo baby it's already late come down stairs to get you snack for your first day of high school" kayla Milo's mom calls out. Milo thinks first day of high school and then gasps and moms voice!!!
