Kaiser
"Do you like ice cream?" I asked and she nodded enthusiastically.
Then dropped my cat and came over to the kitchen counter to scoop some ice cream.
"What's your favourite flavour?" I asked, curious.
"Rocky roads, Vanilla and Hazelnut, Strawberry and Chocolate" She said and I turned to her.
She was so cute in my clothes.
She requested for a change of clothes because it was already too late and she was going to spend the night here because she liked it here.
But my night shirt served as a gown to her.
Then she sniffed my shirt and smiled at me and I smiled back remembering her giving me a shirt of hers and I sniffed it.
After we finished scooping our ice cream, we sat on the couch to watch TV.
I fed Rhyssa (my cat) before washing my hands and coming to sit beside her to watch movie.
"What kind of movies do you watch?" I asked
She gave a thinking expression
"All kinds except horror" She said
"Great, let's watch a Horror movie" I said and she punched my arm.
"Ow" I pretended to be in pain.
"I was just teasing you" I said laughing and spread my arms for her to nestle close to me.
She was so warm and so small.
One Eternity later, she finally decided on a movie for us to watch and we started the movie.
When the movie was over, she was already asleep.
I put away our empty bowls of ice cream and came back.
She looked so angelic as she slept so soundly.
I gently scooped her into my arms and carried her into the spare room she was to sleep in then put off the light and closed the door.
Then I went into my work room and turned on my laptop to work.
Tomorrow was Saturday but I had to finish up some of the work I had.
While I worked in silence, flashbacks I didn't want to remember kept creeping into my head making me lose focus on what I was working on.
"Damn it" I cursed under my breath and closed my eyes for some minutes then continued my work.
At about 2am, I closed my laptop and turned the light off, then left to my room.
I wanted to check Rhyssa's room, but I chose not to.
I went straight to my room, took some pills by my bedstand and gulped it down with a glass of water then I laid down and pulled the sheets over me and closed my eyes hoping I didn't get nightmares.

I woke up, and I didn't have any nightmares regarding my past, which was rare because I always did.
I stretched and stood up to wash my face and brush my teeth.
Then I left to the kitchen to cook something to eat for breakfast.
When I got there, I saw small hands trying to reach the cabinet, which held cookies.
And I laughed, making her turn in surprise.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted some cookies," She said softly, and it took everything in me not to grab her and sit her atop of the kitchen counter and kiss her while her legs were wrapped around my waist.
Her small figure made me suddenly feel protective as she was so delicate.
If anyone ever tried to hurt her, I would kill the motherfucker with my bare hands.
"You should've called for my help" I said, walking towards her.
"You were asleep," she said retreating but I already had her trapped before me.
Rhyssa
I woke up and found myself in a strange room tucked carefully in bed.
I had fallen asleep on Kaiser's shoulder while watching the movie last night so he must've carried me to his spare bedroom.
My tummy grumbled, and I got out to bed...eager to see Kaiser and how he looked in the morning after just waking up.
People tended to look yummy in the morning....not me though.
I always looked weird in the morning right after waking up.
I looked in the direction of another room that was obviously Kaiser's.
He was probably still asleep.
I made my way to the kitchen to cook breakfast for us.
But then my eyes caught a pack of cookies in the top kitchen cabinet that was slightly open.
I stretched my hand to reach the pack of cookies but I couldn't.
Even on my tiptoes and it was frustrating.
Just then, someone laughed behind me and I turned immediately.
It was Kaiser.
And he looked way too good, arms folded as he leaned on the wall watching me.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted some cookies." I apologised because it was rude to go through someone's kitchen without their permission.
"You should've called for my help" He said walking towards me.
Subconsciously, I moved back
"You were asleep" I said and suddenly he was soo close to me, blocking me from moving.
And I looked up at him and my eyes finally rested on his lips.
They looked so inviting.
