"I can see their cultivation bases!" Xuan thought, having anticipated this but still feeling surprised when he actually saw it.
His eyes then darted towards their cultivation bases but stopped when he saw that the second target couldn't be cursed.
"Is it because of his cultivation?" Xuan didn't know which one of them was the so-called young master and which one was Elder Yong, but that didn't matter to him.
His instincts were telling him to do it. "Curse him," he muttered, thinking about the first target which could be cursed.

Xuan then waited for five minutes but felt nothing. A puzzled expression could be seen on his face, but after a few more minutes when nothing happened, Xuan stopped waiting and began following the same path the carriage took.
It took him four hours before he came upon a human settlement. His craving for better food suddenly intensified when the aroma of freshly cooked food wafted to his nose.
During his four-month journey crossing the colossal mountain, Xuan had depended on fruits, herbs, and wild meat, but it wasn't properly cooked or seasoned.
"Ahhhaa," he heaved and took a long breath of the food's aroma, then made his way towards the small establishment.
"Welcome, traveller," the old man came out of the kitchen to greet Xuan.
Xuan took a seat. Though the establishment wasn't fancy—just an empty house with a few tables—the aroma of food and customers at other tables were proof of its popularity.
Then a young girl around his age came. "Grandfather! You should rest. I'll take care of everything here."
The girl pouted angrily at the old man, who was clearly sick. Then the old man smiled, "Nan Nan, I'm not fragile enough that I can't even help you here. How will you manage all of this if I were to rest?"
As Ye Xuan took his seat, the old man looked at him, "Young man, what do you want to have?" Ye Xuan didn't think much, "If there is soup and noodles…" He looked at the old man, who nodded, "Nan Nan, prepare soup and noodles for this young man." Then the old man moved to another table.
As Ye Yang waited for the food, four men entered the shop and took seats in the corner.
Ye Yang sensed a deathly aura around them, and his instincts warned him, especially since one of them was a young man who had a cultivation around the 1st or 2nd level of the Qi Awakening stage.
After fifteen minutes of waiting, Nan Nan brought two bowls of soup and noodles to Ye Yang while she followed her grandfather, who was now taking orders from the four shady men.
"Dear guest, what do you want to have?" he asked politely, though he also sensed something off about them; his years of experience told him that these were not ordinary people.
"Hah," the young man with dark black hair and a long tooth earrings looked at the old man, but then his eyes wandered to Nan Nan.
"To have such a fine beauty in such a backward place…" Then, with a smile, he looked at the old man, "Old man, I want her… Why not give her to me as a servant, and I promise she'll have a better life than living in this shabby place."
Three men chuckled while the old man politely spoke, "Dear guest, we are not interested in anything. If you don't want anything to eat, then please leave the table for other guests."
Other people stopped eating and looked towards them. Then one of the shady men chuckled; instead of being angry, he spoke in a normal tone.
"Old man, why not consider this once again? You'll soon die anyway, isn't it better to send her to a place where at least she can be safe." He smiled while another one added, "Indeed, there are many bad people in this world, what if something happened to her."
His words carried a hint of warning while the young man with the tooth earrings looked at the other tables, "I don't see any guests anymore, can you see it?" He laughed as the other three followed him.
The people suddenly started leaving the establishment in a hurry to save their lives, but when everyone left, a sound of soup sucking and noodles munching came from another corner where Ye Xuan was enjoying his meal.

His sound of eating began to irritate the young man, especially every time Ye Xuan drank the soup from the bowl.
"This Fu*ker… STOP EATING you…"

Not only the young man but the other three, and even the Old man and Nan Nan, were shocked to see Ye Xuan enjoying his meal as if he couldn't care about what was happening in the other corner of the establishment.
While the young man's anger rose, Ye Yang took another bite of the noodle while muttering something under his breath.
