Chapter 7 - A Toast to the Royals

The next morning, the city buzzed with murmurs and headlines teasing something massive brewing between the two most iconic names in hospitality.

By 11 AM, the grand ballroom at The Singhania Royale was transformed into a press conference arena — crimson velvet curtains, gold-accented podiums, a pristine white stage with "Toast of Royals" embossed in bold cursive behind twin CEO chairs. Every major news channel, lifestyle magazine, and business journalist was in attendance. Paparazzi, bloggers, investors — all seated, waiting.

The room silenced as Trisha Singhania entered first — dressed in a black three-piece suit, hair brushed back with precision, confidence radiating off every stride. Her presence made cameras click like rain.

Seconds later, the heavy doors opened again — and in walked Reeva Khanna, dressed in a charcoal grey power blazer over an emerald satin blouse, wide-leg trousers tailored to perfection, and that infamous calm smirk that drove both media and markets crazy.

The two women walked toward each other at center stage and shook hands. The photographers went feral. Flashlights blinded the room.

Trisha (on mic):

"Thank you all for being here. As two independent empires, The Singhania Royale and The Khanna Court have stood tall in this industry. Today, we take a new step — together. We are proud to announce our joint venture — a five-star luxury restaurant in Udaipur — titled..."

(She looks toward Reeva, smirking slightly)

"...Toast of Royals."

Reeva (adding smoothly):

"A space where royalty meets modern hospitality. A dining experience built not just on heritage, but innovation. This isn't just a partnership. It's a legacy in the making."

Applause. Flashes.

They move to the elegant table, where the legal documents are placed. As the cameras roll live, both sign their respective copies, sealing the alliance officially.

MC announces:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the partnership is now official."

Media Q&A begins.

Journalist 1:

"Miss Singhania, considering the long-standing industry comparison between you two, what made you agree to this venture?"

Trisha (coolly):

"I've always admired efficiency, strength, and vision. Miss Khanna brings all three. Rivalry is for those unsure of their worth. We, on the other hand, build empires."

Journalist 2:

"Miss Khanna, was it a challenge working together after years of being seen as competitors?"

Reeva (grinning):

"The challenge wasn't working together — the challenge was keeping the press from romanticizing our coffee meetings. And look how that turned out."

(Room chuckles. Trisha hides a faint smirk.)

"But on a serious note, this venture is about respect. Mutual. Undeniable. Respect."

Journalist 3:

"What makes Toast of Royals different from your other ventures?"

Trisha:

"This isn't just a restaurant. It's a statement."

Reeva:

"A signature. In gold."

Trisha (nodding):

"Expect immersive fine dining rooted in tradition — but curated for royalty of the present."

Journalist 4:

"Is this the beginning of more collaborations between the two of you?"

Reeva (winking):

"Depends on how many more empires we want to take over."

With the Q&A wrapped, both women raise a symbolic toast — crystal flutes clinking softly as they pose for final shots.

As the media disperses, murmuring about the impossible duo that just became the power move of the decade, Trisha and Reeva exchange a glance — an unsaid language laced with fire, familiarity, and flirtation.

This wasn't just a partnership.

It was a new era.
