"I am back, children." Father entered home with a weak and fading voice.
I ran to dad from the kitchen, while cooking food for dinner. As always I found my dad is stained with crimson blood. My younger sister Nancy, too, ran to dad from the living room.
Before my sister saw dad, I covered him and blocked his body against her.
"Heyy! Why do you keep covering him whenever I run to father, sis Ari? Is he naked?
My dad blushed, followed by me, "Mind your business!" I shouted.
"I am minding my business only. Well, I got sick with it. You know?"
I changed the topic, "I guess today is your favourite superhero show. Won't you like to watch it?"
"Oh, yeah! I forgot!"
She left the passage.
I covered him till the bathroom end, where my sister couldn't see. "Why do you keep saying you are back, when you are stained with blood, Mr. Oak?"
"Just do your work!"
"Of course!" I obeyed.
My dad is a member of Black Vane organisation, unofficial, who spies over and assassinates rich business people and politicians. No one knows the existence of this organisation. The one who however got their existence are the one of those politicians and business people who are threatened, and make them accept their terms of policy. They then got killed by a member of the organisation. Then the masked Boss takes over the position. The position he takes over are suspicious to the people in companies and cops. But there is no single evidence against him.
I was once a member of this organisation. But due to disagreement of some terms and not feeling comfortable, I then left. But a member leaving the organisation, got killed by one of the members. And I was being found by them for these two years. I was hidden by Mr. Oak, who is not my biological father. He had adopted me when I was 11. And he is the one who made me become a member.
My late biological father was a CEO, he had killed mom, cunningly, in front of me, but the whole evidence vanished, it was to marry young beautiful widow Yuneci, who has two twin sons, 12 years older than me.
I was being humiliated and perverted by one of them. I then left my home at 11 years old.
Then I started working in a bar as a servant.
But one day, while serving some f***ing bastards, they were throwing the hectic questions on me, "Why don't you work as a discotheque dancer, girl?" They kept mocking me.
Then a young masked guy appeared from behind them, that man was Mr. Oak. He started beating them and took me from that crowded bar.
However he legally adopted me. He too had his wife who used to look after me and she too, worked for that organisation. I was then trained by him. But after I joined that organisation at 16, they killed her due to an unknown mistake. I then thought about leaving that organisation and I left.
And without informing dad, I started living in a different place. But soon, my dad appeared to seize me for that organisation.
But, he showed mercy. "If you stay with me and work for me when I need to, I will leave you, which means I won't kill you. So?"
I accepted to continue to live.
After he take his bath, he found dinner was ready.
We had dinner. And took Nancy to her bed.
Finally she fell asleep.
I then asked, "Will you not go to sleep?"
I sat beside him on the settee.
He removed identity card and paper, "This is the time to showcase your talent, Ariadne."
"This…" I read over paper and look over my ID card. "This is to become secretary to CEO David of Velvér Fashion company. My stepbrother, you mean? But why are you throwing me here?"
"Just do what I am told to do. Or else…"
"Fine!"
I hoped that he would not humiliate me there now. I have changed my appearance too to hide from the organisation.
Now… I have to turn back.
