She's suffering from brain tumor and the doctor said that it can't be removed as the tumor is very close to her brain.
Doctor, how is my mom? Alex asked rushing the doctor as soon as he came out.
Young master, your mom is out of danger now, please come with me to my office while they move her to the ICU.
Alex looked at the surgery room before following the doctor to his office.

Alex was speechless trying to process what the doctor had just said, his mom's tumor was no longer curable and she just a month to live. Why her? She was his only family. Why would this happen to my mom? He thought to himself.
Alexander walked to her ward listlessly sitting down and staring at her peaceful sleeping face as she was still unconscious. His mom didn't deserve to leave him so soon.
At another part of the hospital, Ashley rushed into the hospital, she got a call that her younger brother's illness was acting up again and he fainted.
In the doctor's office, Ashley was sitting listening to the doctor talk about her brother's condition.
Miss Peterson, his condition is getting worst, the medication can no longer sustain him, he needs surgery as soon as possible and you should comply if you want your brother to live.

Alex just finished having an unpleasant conversation with his mom who just woke up and was leaving the hospital when he bumped into Ashley.

Ashley didn't dwell on it, she had a lot on her plate, she needed to raise the money for her brother's surgery. She quickly went to his ward to see him briefly before leaving the hospital.
